What is temptation? Temptation is simply taking a desire far beyond the limits God has set.
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will." 40 Then he came to his disciples and found them sleeping. He said to Peter, "So you could not watch with me for one hour? 41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

We are all tempted at some point or another. No matter how beautiful our faith was or how long we have been on the path of the Lord, absolutely no one is immune to temptation. Sometimes temptation manifests itself as a quiet voice, while other times it presents itself as an overwhelming pressure exerted on our minds.
Each of us is very clear about and knows what we feel, but when it comes to explaining it: do we really know how to explain temptation?
Temptation is, in a way, an invitation to exploit a desire, but in a way that crosses established boundaries. Many people reject this because if it generates guilt, it has no connection with the Lord. But let's take a moment to reflect: what are the areas in which we are most frequently tempted? If we think about all the areas in which we are tempted, they are all the blessings that God has created and made available to us with one purpose: solely to bless us and for our good.
The problem isn't the desires themselves; the problem lies when we take them out of context and try to cross the boundaries that God has established to maintain order and blessing in our lives.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve by his subtilty, your minds should be led astray from a sincere devotion to Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:3
The enemy is cunning, and one of his exemplary strategies is to distort desire, even the most holy and benign desire that can spring from our hearts. Whenever we face temptation, let us ask the Lord to remind us of the origin of that impulse, that desire, and then ask Him to give us strength and guide us with His Holy Spirit so that we are not deceived from a sincere devotion to Christ. Let us not take things lightly and assume that everything is evil. Let us examine our hearts and expose all our desires and feelings in the light of the Word and in the light of the Lord. The Holy Spirit will guide us along the best path.

¿Qué es la tentación? La tentación es simplemente llevar un deseo mucho más allá de los límites que Dios ha establecido.
39 Yendo un poco adelante, se postró sobre su rostro, orando y diciendo: Padre mío, si es posible, pase de mí esta copa; pero no sea como yo quiero, sino como tú. 40 Vino luego a sus discípulos, y los halló durmiendo, y dijo a Pedro: ¿Así que no habéis podido velar conmigo una hora? 41 Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación; el espíritu a la verdad está dispuesto, pero la carne es débil.

Todos en algún momento somos o seremos tentado. Si bien bonita salió esta fe o cuánto tiempo hace que permanecemos en el camino del señor, absolutamente nadie está exento ante la tentación. En algunas ocasiones la tentación se manifiesta como una voz suave mientras que otra se presenta como una presión abrumadora que se ejerce sobre nuestra mente.
Cada uno de nosotros tenemos bien claro y sabemos lo que sentimos pero al momento de explicarlo: ¿sabemos realmente cómo explicar la tentación?.
La tentación es de alguna manera una invitación a explotar un deseo pero de forma que atraviesan los límites establecidos. Hay muchas personas que rechazan esto ya que si genera culpa no tiene vínculo alguno con el señor pero tomémosnos un momento para reflexionar: ¿cuáles son las áreas que somos tentados con mayor frecuencia?, si nos ponemos a pensar en todas las áreas que somos tentados, son todas las bendiciones que Dios ha creado y ha puesto a nuestra disposición con un solo propósito, es solamente para bendecirnos y para nuestro bien.
El problema no es en los deseos en sí, el problema está en cuanto lo sacamos de contexto e intentamos cruzar los límites que Dios ha establecido para mantener un orden y la bendición en nuestras vidas.
3 Pero temo que como la serpiente con su astucia engañó a Eva, vuestros sentidos sean de alguna manera extraviados de la sincera fidelidad a Cristo.
2 Corintios 11:3
El enemigo es astuto y una de sus estrategias ejemplares es distorsionar el deseo ya sea el deseo más santo y benigno que pueda nacer de nuestro corazón. Siempre que enfrentemos la tentación pidamos al señor que nos recuerde el origen de ese impulso de ese deseo y después pidamos que nos dé fuerza y nos guíe con su espíritu Santo para no ser engañados de la sincera fidelidad a Cristo, no tomemos las cosas a la ligera y como que todo es malo, examinemos nuestro corazón y Y expongamos todos nuestros deseos y sentimientos a la luz de la palabra y a la luz del señor, el espíritu Santo nos guiará por el mejor camino.
