Even though we are inundated with problems, God gives security to those who trust in him.

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
Where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 Your foot will not slip,
Nor will He who watches over you slumber.

Psalm 121:1-3

In this psalm, we describe in detail the security David found in the Lord. We can also discover and better understand the security we also enjoy in Christ Jesus.

The psalmist speaks of lifting up our eyes to where the Lord comes, the place from which our help comes. In David's time, those who lived in the mountains were robbers who stalked and attacked travelers. As a shepherd, David knew every detail of the mountains and the places where he tended his sheep very well. In these mountains, there were robbers and also animals that stalked his sheep. Our lives may be going through a similar moment, but just as the psalmist describes, the Lord Jesus Christ is our help and is the one who has the ability to guard and protect us completely.

This text also says that our foot will not slip. This means that God has provided absolutely everything we need to avoid slipping, to avoid walking in sin. We have the Holy Spirit of God that guides us in every step and gives us the power to overcome. The Word of God illuminates every step of our lives so that we do not fall. God has everything to sustain us and allow us to walk faithfully in His ways.

Here we see the Lord's ability to protect us in times of difficulty, in moments and places of danger, whether through our own fault or that of another. We must understand that many times, due to our unbelief or our foolishness, we decide to take paths that are not convenient for us. Fortunately, we have the God of love, creator of heaven and earth, who loves us with an eternal love and watches over our safety.

Aunque estemos inundados de problemas, Dios nos da seguridad a quienes confiamos en él.

Alzaré mis ojos a los montes;
¿De dónde vendrá mi socorro?
2 Mi socorro viene de Jehová,
Que hizo los cielos y la tierra.
3 No dará tu pie al resbaladero,
Ni se dormirá el que te guarda.

Salmos 121:1-3

Vamos en este salmo descrita detalladamente la seguridad que David encontró en el señor, también podemos descubrir y entender mucho mejor la seguridad que nosotros también disfrutamos en Cristo Jesús.

El salmista habla de alzar los ojos hacia dónde viene el señor, el lugar de donde viene el socorro para nosotros. En los tiempos de David los que vivían en la montaña eran los ladrones que acechaban y atacaban a los viajeros. David como pastor de ovejas conocía muy bien cada detalle de los montes y de los lugares donde pastorea a sus ovejas, en estos montes habían ladrones y también habían animales que acechaban sus ovejas, nuestra vida puede estar atravesando un momento similar pero así como el salmista describe que el Señor Jesucristo es nuestro socorro y es quien tiene la capacidad de guardarnos y protegernos por completo.

Este Texto también dice que no dará nuestro pie al resbaladero, esto quiere decir que Dios ha provisto absolutamente todo lo que necesitamos para evitar algún desliz, para evitar caminar en el pecado. Tenemos el espíritu Santo de Dios que nos dirige en cada paso y nos da el poder para vencer, la palabra de Dios ilumina cada paso de nuestras vidas para que no caigamos, Dios tiene todo para sostenernos y permitirnos andar en sus caminos fielmente.

Aquí vemos expresa la capacidad del señor para protegernos en tiempos de dificultad, en momentos y lugares de peligro ya sea por nuestra causa o causa de otro porque debemos comprender que muchas veces debido nuestra incredulidad o nuestra necedad decidimos tomar caminos que no nos conviene. Afortunadamente tenemos al Dios de amor creador de los cielos y la tierra que nos ama con amor eterno y vela por nuestra seguridad.
