Jesucristo es nuestra esperanza. || Jesus Christ is our hope.

Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, today we have the promise of eternal life in heaven with him. This hope helps us face the dilemmas and challenges of this present life.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and that does not fade away, kept in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in various trials, 7 so that the genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be tested and found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Having not seen him, you love him. Though you do not see him now, though you believe, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 obtaining the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

When we talk about hope, we are talking about a certain expectation or desire for something too good, and in this case, Jesus Christ is the greatest source of hope since only He knows what is best for us and not only that, He has the power and authority to ensure that this is fulfilled in our lives.

We are living in a turbulent world like a great sea passing through a storm, and when that happens, Jesus Christ is our anchor, our Safe Harbor, who encourages us with this promise of an inheritance that never perishes, an inheritance in heaven that endures forever. However, that security He promises seems far away when the storm comes, or when pain and suffering plague our lives. There seems to be no relief, but the question is, how can we endure those moments? And that is where hope based on faith comes in, ensuring a change of perspective and present circumstances.

But what happens when we continue in the same situation? Perhaps we think God has forgotten or is busy with other things, but we must be assured that God is refining our faith, and this will result in praise and glory to God, and above all, to Jesus Christ at His next coming. Difficulties and hardships, for men, some lose hope and give up, while others use them as tools from God to perfect their faith and character, thus increasing their faith even more.

Christ has great promises for us not only for eternity but for the present life as well, God can free us from difficulty today and we can have rest and repose in Him when we arrive at our eternal home meanwhile we can experience victories here on earth, everything that God produces in us is to give us a glorious future.

Gracias a Nuestro Señor Jesucristo hoy tenemos la promesa de una vida eterna en los cielos junto a él, esta esperanza nos ayuda a enfrentar los dilemas y desafíos de la vida presente.

Bendito el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que según su grande misericordia nos hizo renacer para una esperanza viva, por la resurrección de Jesucristo de los muertos, 4 para una herencia incorruptible, incontaminada e inmarcesible, reservada en los cielos para vosotros, 5 que sois guardados por el poder de Dios mediante la fe, para alcanzar la salvación que está preparada para ser manifestada en el tiempo postrero. 6 En lo cual vosotros os alegráis, aunque ahora por un poco de tiempo, si es necesario, tengáis que ser afligidos en diversas pruebas, 7 para que sometida a prueba vuestra fe, mucho más preciosa que el oro, el cual aunque perecedero se prueba con fuego, sea hallada en alabanza, gloria y honra cuando sea manifestado Jesucristo, 8 a quien amáis sin haberle visto, en quien creyendo, aunque ahora no lo veáis, os alegráis con gozo inefable y glorioso; 9 obteniendo el fin de vuestra fe, que es la salvación de vuestras almas.

Cuando hablamos de esperanza estamos hablando de una cierta expectativa o deseo de algo demasiado bueno y en este caso Jesucristo es la mayor fuente de esperanza ya que sólo él conoce que es lo mejor para nosotros y no sólo eso, tiene el poder y la autoridad para asegurar que esto se cumpla en nuestras vidas.

Estamos viviendo en un mundo agitado como un gran mar pasando por una tormenta y cuando eso sucede es Jesucristo nuestro ancla, nuestro Puerto Seguro que nos alienta con esta promesa de una herencia que no perece, una herencia en los cielos que permanece para siempre. Sin embargo esa seguridad que no promete parece ser lejano cuando se presenta la tormenta o cuando hay dolor y sufrimiento nuestras vidas, parece no haber alivio pero la pregunta es ¿cómo podemos soportar esos momentos? Y así es donde entra en escena la esperanza basada en la fe y esto asegura un cambio de perspectiva y de circunstancia presente.

¿Pero qué sucede cuando seguimos en la misma situación? Quizás pensamos que Dios se ha olvidado o que está ocupado en otras cosas pero debemos estar seguro que Dios está refinando nuestra fe y esto tendrá como resultado alabanza y gloria a Dios y sobre todo a Jesucristo en su próxima venida. Las dificultades y para los hombres, algunos pierden las esperanzas y se entrega mientras que otros lo utilizan como herramientas por parte de Dios para perfeccionar la fe y el carácter y así aumentar mucho más la fe.

Cristo tiene para nosotros grandes promesas no solamente para la eternidad sino para la vida presente también, Dios hoy nos puede liberar de la dificultad y podemos tener descanso y reposo en el cuando lleguemos a nuestro hogar eterno mientras tanto podemos vivir victorias aquí en la tierra, todo lo que Dios produce en nosotros es para darnos un futuro glorioso.
