What is life? What is the truth? We have the word of God that presents to us the Lord Jesus Christ as the foundation of everything.

These things Jesus spoke, and raising his eyes to heaven, he said: Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, so that your Son may also glorify you; 2 as you have given him power over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have glorified you on earth; I have finished the work you gave me to do. 5 Now therefore, Father, glorify me by your side, with that glory that I had with you before the world was.

John 17:1-5

Moments before the Lord's arrest, he prayed to the father and said "Sanctify them in your truth" in reference to his disciples. After he was presented for questioning, the gentleman responding mentioned that he has come into the world as a testimony of the truth, this has given rise to the question: what is the truth?

The truth that the son of God speaks to us and bears witness to is not something we want to hear, the truth cannot be hidden for long, the truth can bother too much, the truth can reveal of us certain weakness as the alleged weakness of the sacrifice of the cross of Calvary.

This word whose meaning seems to confuse us is mentioned repeatedly in the word of God, referring specifically to the son of God, "the word of truth", "I am the truth". The word teaches us that the truth is the Lord Jesus Christ himself, his principles and teachings that are revealed in the Bible, living according to the truth, living "In CHRIST" not only frees us from the power of sin, it places us on a path of peace and eternal security based on the "Truth" of the scriptures to enjoy this life and abundant eternal life with Jesus.

¿Que es la vida? ¿Que es la verdad? Tenemos la palabra de Dios que nos presenta al Señor Jesucristo como fundamento de todo.

Estas cosas habló Jesús, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora ha llegado; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti; 2 como le has dado potestad sobre toda carne, para que dé vida eterna a todos los que le diste. 3 Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado. 4 Yo te he glorificado en la tierra; he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciese. 5 Ahora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú al lado tuyo, con aquella gloria que tuve contigo antes que el mundo fuese.

Juan 17:1-5

Momentos previos al arresto del Señor, oró al padre y dijo "Santifícalos en tu verdad" en referencia a sus discípulos. Después fue presentado para ser interrogado, El señor respondiendo mencionó que ha venido al mundo como testimonio de la verdad, esto ha dado lugar a que le pregunten ¿que es la verdad?.

La verdad de la que nos habla y de la que da testimonio el hijo de Dios no es algo que nosotros deseamos oir, la verdad no puede ser ocultada por mucho tiempo, la verdad puede incomodar demasiado, la verdad puede revelar de nosotros cierta debilidad como la presunta debilidad del sacrificio de la cruz del calvario.

Esta palabra cuyo significado parece confundirnos se menciona reiteradas veces en la palabra de Dios, haciendo referencia específicamente al hijo de Dios, "la palabra de verdad", "Yo soy la verdad". La palabra nos enseña que la verdad es el mismo Señor Jesucristo, sus principios y enseñanzas que están revelados en la biblia, vivir segun la verdad, vivir "En CRISTO" no solo nos libera del poder del pecado, nos coloca en una senda de paz y seguridad eterna basados en la "Verdad" de las escrituras para disfrutar de esta vida y de abundante vida eterna junto a Jesús.
