Difficulties for some people can be the worst, they can be the end, while for others they can be a gift that teaches us and helps us depend more on the Lord.

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this I besought the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

None of us likes to feel weak, much less to be seen as weak, but the truth is that when we feel greater as humans, we are weaker. We are defective compared to God, because we are limited. God and His power have no limits.

17 O Lord God! Behold, you made heaven and earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; nothing is too difficult for you.

Jeremiah 32:17

God can generate drastic changes in others from one moment to the next, and when this happens, we must be very careful and pay attention, so that we should not take credit for such things. We must recognize ourselves as a branch of a tree whose vitality and success are due purely and exclusively to the tree to which we are connected, which is God and is represented as the vine.

5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in them, bears much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

The Apostle Paul gives us a perfect example with a very practical illustration of this: Paul tells us that we have this treasure of earthenware, and this means that it is God who is glorified, not us, that everything is thanks to him, and we are only vessels of the living and almighty God.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing power may be of God and not of us,

2 Corinthians 4:7

He faced many adversities: he was stoned, imprisoned, beaten, repeatedly persecuted, and even suffered shipwrecks. And all the time he had a struggle, as he mentions, he had a personal affliction that called him the thorn in the flesh.

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure;

2 Corinthians 12:7

He used this respectfully to Paul, so that he would stay focused on the power of God and not mislead another nation into its own strength or glory in its abilities. Is there anything God is using today to keep your eyes on him? Let us praise God for everything that happens in our lives and glorify him. Let us learn to depend on him, since it is the best choice we can make in our lives, and thus we will also fully enjoy God's blessings.

Las dificultades para algunas personas pueden ser lo peor, puede ser el fin mientras que para otros puede ser un regalo que nos enseñe y nos ayude a depender más del señor.

Y para que la grandeza de las revelaciones no me exaltase desmedidamente, me fue dado un aguijón en mi carne, un mensajero de Satanás que me abofetee, para que no me enaltezca sobremanera; 8 respecto a lo cual tres veces he rogado al Señor, que lo quite de mí. 9 Y me ha dicho: Bástate mi gracia; porque mi poder se perfecciona en la debilidad. 2 Corintios 12:7-10

A ninguno de nosotros nos gusta sentirnos y mucho menos que nos vean débiles, pero la verdad es que cuando humanamente nos sentimos más grandes es que somos más débil, somos defectuosos en comparación con Dios ya que somos limitados, Dios y su poder no tienen límites.

17 ¡Oh Señor Jehová! he aquí que tú hiciste el cielo y la tierra con tu gran poder, y con tu brazo extendido, ni hay nada que sea difícil para ti;

Jeremías 32:17

Dios puede generar en los otros cambios drásticos de un momento a otro, y cuando esto sucede debemos tener mucho cuidado y prestar atención ya que no debemos atribuirnos el mérito a tal cosa. Debemos reconocernos como rama de un árbol cuya vitalidad y éxito se debe pura y exclusivamente al árbol al cual estamos conectados que es Dios y es representado como la vid.

5 Yo soy la vid, vosotros los pámpanos; el que permanece en mí, y yo en él, este lleva mucho fruto; porque separados de mí nada podéis hacer.

Juan 15:5

Apóstol Pablo nos muestra un ejemplo perfecto con una ilustración muy práctica de esto: Pablo nos dice que tenemos este tesoro de barro y esto significa que Dios es quien se glorifica y no nosotros, que todo es gracias a él y nosotros solamente somos recipientes del Dios vivo y todo poderoso.

7 Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros,

2 Corintios 4:7

Se enfrentó a muchísimas adversidades, fue apedreado, encarcelado, golpeado, fue perseguido en reiteradas ocasiones y hasta sufrió naufragios. Y todo el tiempo tenía una lucha como él lo menciona, tenía una aflicción personal que lo llamaba el aguijón en su carne.
