Today's reflection can change the course of our lives
##Sometimes we face the idea that we don't find logic in God's plans, or we simply don't understand what God is doing for us. It is in those moments that we must decide to trust and follow the Lord.
Jesus answered and said to him, "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."
John 14:23
We remember the story of the apostle Peter, who returned from trying to fish all night long without catching anything. The Lord asked him to cast his nets once more. Understanding Peter's experience and expertise in fishing, we might have thought this was an illogical option, since if they hadn't caught anything all night, what more could they catch? However, Peter obeyed Jesus, and that gave him an unprecedented result. This is like obeying the written word for us: we don't understand it sometimes, or it seems completely illogical, but it has spectacular results.
Now Jericho was tightly shut and guarded by the Israelites; no one went in or out. 2 But the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into your hands, along with its king and all its fighting men. 3 You and all the Israelite warriors are to march around the city, going around it once each day for six days. 4 Seven priests are to carry the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, and the priests are to sound the trumpets. 5 When they blow a long blast on the rams’ horns, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people are to shout with a mighty shout, and the wall of the city will fall down, and each one will go straight in.” Joshua 6:1-5
The word of God shows us that sometimes God's plans are completely beyond human logic, and this in turn is a real challenge for us because the only thing left for us is to trust, to place our faith in what God says will happen. We have several examples, and one of them is the case of Joshua: According to human logic and war experts, who would dare to march into battle simply by singing and shouting? This is what God commanded Joshua to do to take Jericho, and because of Joshua's faith, he received the victory that God had promised him. Let's look at another example.
4 Then Moses answered, “They will not believe me, nor will they listen to my voice; for they will say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you.’” 2 And the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He answered, “A staff.” 3 He said, “Throw it on the ground.” And he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.
Exodus 4:1-3
This is another well-known example. Moses, the liberator of Israel, somehow wanted to confirm whether God had truly called him to liberate his people. He had doubts and insecurities, but God performed a miracle, something that defied human logic, something completely extraordinary, unique. God performed a miracle immediately to give Moses assurance and thus confirmed his calling to be the liberator of his people. Moses obeyed.
There are times when God asks us to do or say things that seem very unrealistic or beyond human logic to us. Sometimes God's plans seem truly foolish to us, such as giving his only Son to be sacrificed and die to give hope and life to the rest of humanity who would believe in that sacrifice. But our role in all this is simply to believe, to cling to God's promise. Do we doubt? Of course, we are human. Can we have fears? Of course, we can. We can have everything that any human being has, but even more important is the faith we can develop in God's word. This gives us complete and eternal assurance that God fulfills His promises and that everything He plans for us is solely for our good and to give us a prosperous future.
Let's reflect on this for a moment and remember how we treat our children. Everything we ask of them, everything we command and instruct them to do, is for their own good. Perhaps, like we did as children, they initially think differently; they might feel restricted, or think their parents don't want to give them what they ask for, and so on. But ultimately, everything we do for our children is for their benefit, so they can grow and develop in a healthy and secure way. At first, it may seem irrational or illogical, but the positive results become evident with maturity. Let's keep this in mind and understand that everything God asks of us and everything He does for us is solely for our good. We are God's priority in everything.

La reflexion de Hoy puede cambiar el rumbo de nuestras vidas
##Hay veces que nos enfrentamos a la idea que no encontramos lógica en los planes de Dios, o simplemente no comprendemos lo que Dios está haciendo para y por nosotros, es en esos momentos en que debemos tomar la decisión de confiar y seguir al Señor.
Respondió Jesús y le dijo: El que me ama, mi palabra guardará; y mi Padre le amará, y vendremos a él, y haremos morada con él.

Recordamos aquel cuadro en el que el apóstol Pedro regresaba de intentar pescar durante toda una noche y no consiguió Soluta mente ningún resultado, el señor le pidió que eche las redes una vez más, entendiendo la capacidad y la experiencia de Pedro en el trabajo de la pesca podríamos haber pensado que esta era una opción poco lógica ya que ¿si no pescaron toda la noche, que más pescarían?. Sin embargo Pedro obedeció a Jesús y eso le dio un resultado sin precedentes, esto es como para nosotros obedecer la palabra escrita, no entendemos en algunas ocasiones o nos parece totalmente fuera de la lógica humana pero tiene sus resultados espectaculares.
Ahora, Jericó estaba cerrada, bien cerrada, a causa de los hijos de Israel; nadie entraba ni salía. 2 Mas Jehová dijo a Josué: Mira, yo he entregado en tu mano a Jericó y a su rey, con sus varones de guerra. 3 Rodearéis, pues, la ciudad todos los hombres de guerra, yendo alrededor de la ciudad una vez; y esto haréis durante seis días. 4 Y siete sacerdotes llevarán siete bocinas de cuernos de carnero delante del arca; y al séptimo día daréis siete vueltas a la ciudad, y los sacerdotes tocarán las bocinas. 5 Y cuando toquen prolongadamente el cuerno de carnero, así que oigáis el sonido de la bocina, todo el pueblo gritará a gran voz, y el muro de la ciudad caerá; entonces subirá el pueblo, cada uno derecho hacia adelante.
Josué 6:1-5
La palabra de Dios nos muestra que en algunas ocasiones los planes de Dios están totalmente fuera de la lógica humana, y esto a su vez es todo un desafío para nosotros porque lo único que nos queda es confiar, depositar nuestra fe en lo que Dios dice que sucederá. Tenemos varios ejemplos y uno de ellos es el caso de Josué: Según la lógica humana y los expertos en guerras ¿quién se atrevería a marchar hacia una guerra simplemente cantando y gritando?, esto es lo que Dios había ordenado a Josué para tomar Jericó, y conforme a la obra de fe de Josué tuvo la victoria que Dios le había prometido, veamos otro caso.
4 Entonces Moisés respondió diciendo: He aquí que ellos no me creerán, ni oirán mi voz; porque dirán: No te ha aparecido Jehová. 2 Y Jehová dijo: ¿Qué es eso que tienes en tu mano? Y él respondió: Una vara. 3 Él le dijo: Échala en tierra. Y él la echó en tierra, y se hizo una culebra; y Moisés huía de ella.
Éxodo 4:1-3
Éste también es otro caso muy conocido, el libertador de Israel, Moisés de alguna manera quería confirmar si realmente Dios le había llamado a libertar a su pueblo, tenía dudas e inseguridades, pero Dios obró un milagro, algo que desafiaba a la lógica humana, algo totalmente fuera de serie, único. Dios obre un milagro inmediatamente para darle seguridad a Moisés y de esta forma confirmó su llamado para que sea el libertador de su pueblo, Moisés obedeció.
Hay momentos en que Dios nos pide que hagamos o digamos cosas que para nosotros son muy poco realistas o fuera de la lógica humana, hay veces que los planes de Dios nos parece realmente insensato así como entregar a su único hijo para que fuera sacrificado y muerto para dar esperanza y vida al resto de la humanidad que creyese en ese sacrificio. Pero nuestro rol en todo esto es simplemente creer, es aferrarnos a la promesa de Dios, ¿dudamos? Claro que si somos seres humanos, ¿podemos tener miedos? Claro que sí. Podemos tener todo lo que cualquier ser humano tiene, pero mucho más que eso es la fe que podemos desarrollar en la palabra de Dios y eso nos da completa y eterna seguridad en que Dios cumple sus promesas y que todo lo que planifica para y por nosotros es solamente para darnos un futuro de bien.
Reflexionemos un poco acerca de esto y recordemos nuestros tratos con nuestros hijos, todo lo que nosotros les pedimos, les ordenamos y le instruimos es para su bien, quizás ellos así como nosotros cuando éramos niños pensábamos diferente, creíamos que nos restringían, que nuestros padres no querían darnos lo que nosotros le pedíamos y mucho más, pero al final todo lo que hacemos por nuestros hijos es solamente para nuestro bien y para que crezcan y se desarrollen de una forma correcta y segura. En un principio parece irracional o fuera de la lógica pero el resultado viene después de la madurez. Tengamos en cuenta esto y entendamos que todo lo que Dios nos pide y hace por nosotros es solamente para nuestro bien, somos la prioridad de Dios en todo.
