God has created each one of us by placing in our hearts the thirst and need to know Him more each day.

17 These things Jesus spoke, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said: Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you; 2 as you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

John 17:1-3

Not only believers, but all of humanity does very nice and good things for God. There are even times when those "things" we do tend to be more important than God himself. Remember that Hosea says that God desires mercy and knowledge and does not want sacrifices or holocausts. This means that God wants our attention, our gaze on him more than anything else.

There are brothers who unfortunately go beyond us, they do not take the next step, they only limit themselves to a specific work or a simple occasional reading of the Bible. They do not obey the spiritual desires of spending time in prayer or getting to know God more through his word. They generally "worship" because they only have to do so. This may sound very familiar to you. Remember that the relationship with God involves commitment and time. This is extremely gratifying!

14 But whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst. but the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

John 4:14

God has placed in us a thirst that can only be quenched by Him, the Apostle Paul gives us an example of this when he says that everything that was once gain he now considers loss for the love of the Lord.

7 But whatever things were gain to me, those I now consider loss for the love of Christ.

Philippians 3:7

We have been created to have an impeccable relationship with our creator, to glorify Him and worship Him. We can serve Him and do works as a complement and result of all this, but the most important thing is to know Him and have a very close relationship.

Dios nos ha creado a cada unos de nosotros depositando en nuestros corazones la sed y necesidad de conocerle cada día mas.

17 Estas cosas habló Jesús, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora ha llegado; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti; 2 como le has dado potestad sobre toda carne, para que dé vida eterna a todos los que le diste. 3 Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.

Juan 17:1-3

No solamente los creyente, el total de la humanidad hacen cosas muy lindas y buenas para Dios, hasta hay momentos que esas "Cosas" que hacemos suelen ser mas importante que el mismo Dios, recordemos que en Oseas dice que Dios desea misericordia y conocimiento y no quiere sacrificios ni holocaustos, esto quiere decir que Dios quiere nuestra atención, nuestra mirada puesta en él mas que cualquier otra cosa.

Hay hermanos que lamentablemente nos van mas allá, no dan el siguiente paso, solo se limitan en una obra específica o una simple lectura ocasional de la biblia, no obedecen a los deseos espirituales de pasar tiempo en oración o conocer mas a Dios por medio de su palabra, generalmente "Adoran" porque solo deben hacerlo. esto quizas le suena muy familiar. Recordemos que la relación con Dios implica compromiso y tiempo, esto es sumamente gratificante!.

14 mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, no tendrá sed jamás; sino que el agua que yo le daré será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.

Juan 4:14

Dios ha colocado en nosotros una sed que solo puede ser saciada por él, el Apóstol Pablo nos da ejemplo de ello cuando dice que todo lo que antes era ganancia ahora lo estima como pérdida por amor al Señor.

7 Pero cuantas cosas eran para mí ganancia, las he estimado como pérdida por amor de Cristo.

Filipenses 3:7

Hemos sido creados para tener una relación impecable con nuestro creador, glorificarle y adorarle, Podemos servirle y hacer obras como complemento y resultado de todo ello, pero lo mas importante es conocerle y tener una relación bien cercana.
