As children of God, we can live in complete dependence on God's provision and power, thus living according to His will in our lives.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:4-7

When we talk about the Christian life, we are primarily talking about a way of life, whereas some only think about rules that must be followed at all times. Sadly, for some believers, following the path of faith is simply about making and not making a list of things; it's like a mathematical formula, whereas the reality is completely the opposite. The life of a child of God is a life: "He saved us, not because of works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit."

Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to his disciples, saying: 2 "The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat. 3 So practice and observe whatever they tell you, but do not do what they do, for they preach but do not practice. 4 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger.

Matthew 23:1-4

The word of God teaches us that the Lord Jesus Christ condemned the oppressive religion of the Pharisees and at the same time offered unlimited grace—salvatory freedom that was not obtained by keeping the law, nor by our own efforts or any other means. God's grace sets us free. 4 For we were buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too may walk in this new life.

Romans 6:4

Receiving salvation from Jesus Christ by accepting his saving grace means receiving a new life, and we are transformed daily through the word of God. It renews our mind and our heart, because Christ dwells in the heart of every child of God. All of this allows the Holy Spirit to flow, giving new strength where there was once only weakness.

The Holy Spirit begins to work through us, and the fruit of the Spirit is manifested. These are works empowered by the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, enabling us to produce righteous fruit. We no longer depend on ourselves, because the power of the Holy Spirit works through us. Trying constantly to do good, to do good works, exhausts us, whereas when we surrender to the Lord, these works are not only fruit of righteousness, but they also renew our lives. Let us trust fully that the Lord will transform us completely.

Como hijos de Dios podemos vivir en total dependencia de la provisión y el poder de Dios para con nosotros y así vivir conforme a su voluntad en nuestras vidas.

Pero cuando se manifestó la bondad de Dios nuestro Salvador, y su amor para con los hombres, 5 nos salvó, no por obras de justicia que nosotros hubiéramos hecho, sino por su misericordia, por el lavamiento de la regeneración y por la renovación en el Espíritu Santo, 6 el cual derramó en nosotros abundantemente por Jesucristo nuestro Salvador, 7 para que justificados por su gracia, viniésemos a ser herederos conforme a la esperanza de la vida eterna.

Hablamos de la vida cristiana, estamos hablando principalmente de una vida mientras que algunos solamente piensan en reglas que hay que cumplir en todo momento, tristemente para algunos creyentes seguir el camino de fe es simplemente hacer y no hacer una lista de cosas simplemente, es como una fórmula matemática mientras que la realidad es totalmente opuesta, la vida del hijo de Dios es una vida: "nos salvó, no por obras de justicia que nosotros hubiéramos hecho, sino por su misericordia, por el lavamiento de la regeneración y por la renovación en el Espíritu Santo".

Entonces habló Jesús a la gente y a sus discípulos, diciendo: 2 En la cátedra de Moisés se sientan los escribas y los fariseos. 3 Así que, todo lo que os digan que guardéis, guardadlo y hacedlo; mas no hagáis conforme a sus obras, porque dicen, y no hacen. 4 Porque atan cargas pesadas y difíciles de llevar, y las ponen sobre los hombros de los hombres; pero ellos ni con un dedo quieren moverlas.

Mateo 23:1-4

La palabra de Dios nos enseña que el señor Jesucristo condenó la religión opresora de los fariseos y al mismo tiempo ofreció una gracia ilimitada la libertad salvadora que no era por cumplir la ley, no era por esfuerzo propio ni por otros medios, la gracia de Dios nos hace libres.

4 Porque somos sepultados juntamente con él para muerte por el bautismo, a fin de que como Cristo resucitó de los muertos por la gloria del Padre, así también nosotros andemos en vida nueva.
