As children of God, we are heirs to everything, especially spiritual wealth. One of those inheritances is the joy that endures through inner peace, and this does not fluctuate with circumstances; it is an unshakeable and lasting peace.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:6
While Paul was in prison, for us it would have been a hell where we might have let ourselves die, but for the apostle Paul it was an inspiration to write the best letters about the sufficiency of Christ. Generally, for us, contentment is directly related to vacations, days at the beach, or retreats in the middle of the forest where we can simply enjoy ourselves. But we have the example of the apostle Paul, who, even though he was in the worst place where no human being would want to be, affirmed that we should not be anxious because despite everything that arose, the peace of God remained firm in Paul's heart, and so will we.
This is a type of inheritance that the child of God can enjoy here on earth. Peace is the result of the trust we develop in our Lord Jesus Christ. This peace surpasses any understanding on earth. Let us remember that Christ lived in the midst of different conflicts, developing an inner peace through the Holy Spirit that dwells in each of us. That peace of Jesus Christ is fully available for each of us.
"There is no peace for the wicked," says the Lord.
Isaiah 48:22
But we must also remember this, which is very important, since the word also says there is no peace for the wicked. Who are the wicked? They are those who directly reject the Lord Jesus Christ, reject the grace of forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life, and reject God taking control of their lives. In short, this means that we could not experience that peace of God whether or not we are part of God's family as children.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Assuredly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." 4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, "Assuredly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, But you do not know where he comes from or where he goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.
John 3:3-8
The peace of God is a gift we enjoy simply by being born again in Christ Jesus, by becoming children of God and thus heirs of all the riches in glory. It also includes the peace and joy that allow us to endure any trial, and this is a blessing for those of us who belong to God.
so that we can boldly say,
The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid
of anything that man can do to me.

Como hijos de Dios somos herederos de todo sobre todo de la riqueza espiritual, una de esas herencias es el gozo que perdura por medio de la paz interior y esto no fluctúa por las circunstancias, es una paz inquebrantable y duradera.
6 Por nada estéis afanosos, sino sean conocidas vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con acción de gracias.
Filipenses 4:6
Mientras que Pablo tenía su estadía en la cárcel, para nosotros sería un infierno en donde quizás nos dejaríamos morir, pero para el apóstol Pablo fue una inspiración para escribir las mejores cartas acerca de la suficiencia de Cristo. Generalmente para nosotros el contentamiento está directamente relacionado con las vacaciones, días de playa o retiros en medio del bosque donde podemos solamente disfrutar, pero tenemos en la ejemplo del apóstol Pablo que aún estando en el peor lugar donde cualquier humano no desearía estar, afirmó que no debemos estar ansiosos porque con todo lo que se presentó, la paz de Dios permaneció firme en el corazón de Pablo y así serán nosotros también.
Ese es un tipo de herencia que el hijo de Dios puede disfrutarlo aquí en la tierra, la paz es el resultado de la confianza que vamos desarrollando con nuestro señor Jesucristo, esta paz sobrepasa cualquier entendimiento sobre la tierra, recordemos que Cristo vivió en medio de diferentes conflictos desarrollando una paz interior por medio del espíritu Santo que habita en cada uno de nosotros, esa paz de Jesucristo está totalmente dispuesta para cada uno de nosotros.
«No hay paz para los malvados», dice el Señor.
Isaías 48:22
Pero también debemos recordar esto que es muy importante ya que la palabra también dice que no hay paz para los malvados ¿quiénes son los malvados? Son aquellos que rechazan directamente al señor Jesucristo, rechazan la gracia del perdón del pecado y del regalo de la vida eterna, rechazan que Dios tome control de sus vidas. En resumidas palabras esto quiere decir que no podríamos experimentar esa paz de Dios estando o no siendo parte de la familia de Dios como hijos.
3 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de nuevo, no puede ver el reino de Dios. 4 Nicodemo le dijo: ¿Cómo puede un hombre nacer siendo viejo? ¿Puede acaso entrar por segunda vez en el vientre de su madre, y nacer? 5 Respondió Jesús: De cierto, de cierto te digo, que el que no naciere de agua y del Espíritu, no puede entrar en el reino de Dios. 6 Lo que es nacido de la carne, carne es; y lo que es nacido del Espíritu,[a] espíritu es. 7 No te maravilles de que te dije: Os es necesario nacer de nuevo. 8 El viento[b] sopla de donde quiere, y oyes su sonido; mas ni sabes de dónde viene, ni a dónde va; así es todo aquel que es nacido del Espíritu.
Juan 3:3-8
La paz de Dios es un regalo que disfrutamos por el simple hecho de haber nacido de nuevo en Cristo Jesús, por habernos convertido en hijos de Dios y así heredero de todas las riquezas en gloria, así también están incluida la paz y el gozo que nos permiten soportar cualquier prueba y eso es una bendición para quienes somos de Dios.
de manera que podemos decir confiadamente:
El Señor es mi ayudador; no temeré
Lo que me pueda hacer el hombre.
