A sublime calling that consists in loving others just as Christ has loved us and loves us, even when these people are not kind enough to us.
Having purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit for sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently from a pure heart, 23 being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever. 24 For:
All flesh is like grass,
And all the glory of man is like the flower of grass.
The grass withers, and the flower falls;
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.
And this is the word which was preached to you by the gospel.
1 Peter 1:22-25
A reality we cannot ignore: if we were guided only by our natural impulses, we would clearly only be kind when people were kind to us.
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
However, Jesus Christ teaches us and urges us to love even when we are not treated in the best way. Let us remember that he lived this life and demonstrated this to us through the love he had for us by dying on the cross while we were enemies of God and sinners. We can love others as a sign of strength in the Lord and gratitude for what he has done for us.
14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love his brother remains in death.
1 John 3:14
Although it may be difficult to react with love to negative attitudes toward us or a lack of kindness, when we react with love, it simply leads us to enjoy blessing. First, because God delights in it, and also because our hearts are not flooded with envy and anger; we are filled with peace and contentment even when the situation warrants otherwise. All of this motivates us to wait with confidence and enthusiasm for God to work on our behalf, and thus we are aware that the Holy Spirit is working in us, allowing that divine love to flow through our lives even when it is not normal for our nature.
35 By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
John 13:35
We see this very important benefit that Jesus Christ said will be known to us simply because we treat one another well with love. This does not mean being treated like slaves and leaving ourselves to struggle to build some kind of satisfactory relationship. Let's think about the people we've encountered in recent days and reconnect with them with love, just as Jesus Christ would, and we'll see the difference in our relationships.

Un llamado sublime que consiste en amar a otros así como Cristo nos ha amado y nos ama, aún cuando estas personas no sean lo suficientemente amables con nosotros.
Habiendo purificado vuestras almas por la obediencia a la verdad, mediante el Espíritu, para el amor fraternal no fingido, amaos unos a otros entrañablemente, de corazón puro; 23 siendo renacidos, no de simiente corruptible, sino de incorruptible, por la palabra de Dios que vive y permanece para siempre. 24 Porque:
Toda carne es como hierba,
Y toda la gloria del hombre como flor de la hierba.
La hierba se seca, y la flor se cae;

Una realidad que no podemos ignorar, si nosotros nos dejamos guiar solamente por nuestros impulsos naturales, claramente solamente seríamos amable cuando la gente fuera amable con nosotros.
8 Mas Dios muestra su amor para con nosotros, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.
Romanos 5:8
Sin embargo Jesucristo nos enseña y nos insta a amar aún cuando no somos tratados de la mejor manera. Recordemos que él lo ha vivido y nos ha demostrado esto a través del amor que tuvo para con nosotros al morir en la cruz mientras nosotros éramos enemigos de Dios y pecadores, nosotros podemos amar a los demás en señal de fortaleza en el señor y gratitud por lo que ha hecho por nosotros.
14 Nosotros sabemos que hemos pasado de muerte a vida, en que amamos a los hermanos. El que no ama a su hermano, permanece en muerte.
1 Juan 3:14
Aunque sea difícil reaccionar con amor ante actitudes negativas hacia nosotros o bien la falta de amabilidad, cuando reaccionamos con amor, simplemente esto nos conduce a disfrutar de bendición, primero porque Dios se deleita en ello y también nuestro corazón no se inunda de envidia y enojo, somos inundados de paz y contentamiento aún cuando la situación amerite lo contrario. Todo esto nos motiva a esperar con confianza y entusiasmo que Dios obre a nuestro favor y así somos consciente que el espíritu Santo está obrando en nosotros permitiendo que ese amor divino fluya a través de nuestra vida aún cuando para nuestra naturaleza no es normal.
35 En esto conocerán todos que sois mis discípulos, si tuviereis amor los unos con los otros.

Nos vemos este beneficio tan importante que Jesucristo dijo cómo nos conocerán, simplemente porque tratamos bien los unos a los otros con amor. Esto no significa ser tratados como esclavos y dejándonos a batallar para construir algún tipo de relación satisfactoria. Pensemos en las personas que hemos contactado en estos días y volvamos a relacionarnos con ellos con el amor tal como lo haría Jesucristo y contemplaremos la diferencia en las relaciones.
