Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We always give thanks to God for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers, 3 constantly remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we know your election, brothers beloved by God, 5 for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, just as you know what kind of people we were among you for your sake. 6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction with joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became examples to all those in Macedonia and Achaia who believed. 8 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith in God has spread, so that we have no need to say anything. 9 For they themselves report about us how you received us and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10

Let's imagine we're in the middle of a hectic sporting event, and amidst the shouting, people are shouting even louder as if it would lead their teams to victory. Do you know believers who bring that same passion to speaking about Christ and his exploits?

Let's remember the apostle Paul in his letter to the brothers in Thessalonica. Seeing the passion of that congregation, Paul rejoiced greatly at their passion. Let's remember that that city was a busy seaport, and that's why the church captured the attention of the whole world. In this way, travelers would hear the gospel and then return to their places, take the message and share it with their communities.

"For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth." Paul somehow praised the brothers and sisters and projected a powerful image with words. When he speaks of "sounding," he refers to a sound that projects with great power, like a trumpet blast or thunder. Paul saw the Thessalonians as living megaphones.

Today we have the same responsibility to share with the world who the Lord is and what he has done for us. Let us be like the brothers in Thessalonica, shouting the wonders of the Lord from the rooftops.

Si el Señor Jesus ha hecho algo en tu vida, si te ha cambiado, tienes la libertad de alzar la voz y contárselo al mundo!!!

Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo, a la iglesia de los tesalonicenses en Dios Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo: Gracia y paz sean a vosotros, de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
2 Damos siempre gracias a Dios por todos vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en nuestras oraciones, 3 acordándonos sin cesar delante del Dios y Padre nuestro de la obra de vuestra fe, del trabajo de vuestro amor y de vuestra constancia en la esperanza en nuestro Señor Jesucristo. 4 Porque conocemos, hermanos amados de Dios, vuestra elección; 5 pues nuestro evangelio no llegó a vosotros en palabras solamente, sino también en poder, en el Espíritu Santo y en plena certidumbre, como bien sabéis cuáles fuimos entre vosotros por amor de vosotros. 6 Y vosotros vinisteis a ser imitadores de nosotros y del Señor, recibiendo la palabra en medio de gran tribulación, con gozo del Espíritu Santo, 7 de tal manera que habéis sido ejemplo a todos los de Macedonia y de Acaya que han creído. 8 Porque partiendo de vosotros ha sido divulgada la palabra del Señor, no solo en Macedonia y Acaya, sino que también en todo lugar vuestra fe en Dios se ha extendido, de modo que nosotros no tenemos necesidad de hablar nada; 9 porque ellos mismos cuentan de nosotros la manera en que nos recibisteis, y cómo os convertisteis de los ídolos a Dios, para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero, 10 y esperar de los cielos a su Hijo, al cual resucitó de los muertos, a Jesús, quien nos libra de la ira venidera.

1 Tesalonicenses 1.1-10

Imaginemos que estamos en medio de un evento deportivo, agitado y en medio del griterío, las personas gritan aún mas fuertes como si fuera que eso llevaría a sus equipos a la victoria del partido ¿Cono ce usted creyentes que pongan esa misma pasión al hablar de Cristo y sus proezas?.

Recordemos al apóstol Pablo en su carta a los hermanos de Tesalonica, Pablo al ver la pasión de dicha congregación se regocijó en gran manera por la pasión de estos hermanos, recordemos que esa ciudad era un puerto marítimo lleno de actividad y por ello es que la iglesia captaba la atención de todo el mundo, de esta manera los viajeros escuchaban el evangelio y luego de vuelta a sus lugares llevaban el mensaje y lo compartían con sus comunidades.

"Porque partiendo de vosotros ha sido divulgada la palabra del Señor", Pablo de alguna manera alagó a los hermanos y proyecto con palabras una gran imagen, cuando habla de "Resonar" se refiere a un sonido que se proyecta con gran potencia como un toque de trompeta o como un trueno, Pablo veía a los Tesalonisenses como megáfonos vivientes.

Hoy nosotros tenemos la misma responsabilidad de compartir con el mundo Quien es el Señor y lo que él ha hecho por nosotros. Seamos como los hermanos de Tesalonia, gritemos a los 4 vientos las maravillas del Señor.
