Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

I hope this weekend is treating you well so far — today is Caturday, my favorite day of the week for posting cat photos and anything related to our Feline friends!

What's that noise?

The "Caturday" tradition is approaching 20 years old now, and has gained a worldwide following few people could imagine... the origins being little more than a joke on the 4chan image boards: "Let's post some cats on Saturday!"

Today, there are billions of cat photos and cat videos online, and "cats" is consistently one of the most used searches.

So, yesterday the world of Hive collapsed a bit, as we saw a total collapse of Hive (the token) in what the Hoomans are calling a "flash crash."

I know they were all very worried... but as long as all our pictures and blog posts are still here, we're OK... aren't we?

In some ways, I suppose it was also an invitation to consider what we're all really doing here.

Perhaps some of those who are too focused on "just the money" got shaken loose... but I see no particular reason to head for the hills. The cat blog continues. We're all still here. Crypto is a volatile and risky proposition. Blogging is — well — pretty steady.

I remember when we first started all this, we had pretty much no expectations that it would amount to anything.

Seven years and thousands of pictures later, we have had a lot of fun and have met some wonderful people along the way! The fact that we have been rewarded at all is no more than a lovely bonus!

Otherwise, it is a quiet day around here. The Mom-Hooman is taking a rare "day off" and is watching shows from the comfort of bed.

Outside, it is rather cold and rainy, which makes us all very grateful to be pampered indoor cats! You can definitely tell that winter is not far away!

Shangri is forever the goofball!

The Dad-Hooman is working on some "bookkeeping," even though I don't see any actual books around him... but maybe I misunderstood part of the process. He does have a lot of loose papers around where he's working... which seems like a wonderful invitation for a cat nap!

Unlike most times, he actually doesn't seem to be too stressed out about it... which is good!

In spite of everything, we shall continue to pursue our goal to make it to "Dolphin" status for @curatorcat before the end of 2025!

A cat who would become a dolphin... sounds kind of fun, doesn't it?
