Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have arrived at the weekend once again and guess what... it is the Caturday before Christmas!

We already have a full house around here as the Hooman (adult) children have arrived from Seattle but not only are there three extra Hoomans in the house... there are also two little dogs in the house.

For safety's sake, I have retired to the Dad-Hooman's office where there are plenty of places for me up on the high cat towers where the dogs can't reach.

I'm a little upset that my food dish has also been removed from its usual place but the Dad-Hooman assures me that if we leave it on the floor the smallest of the two dogs will just eat all of it and there will be no food for me. What a tragedy!

Anyway they are going to be here for the next three days, so I suppose I'd better get used to it.

Meanwhile, it has been a lovely sunny day outside and I have been enjoying the sun coming in during the afternoon through the Dad-Hooman's office window. One has to be grateful for the small favors in life because as you can see you never know when your life is going to be invaded by dogs!

In other news, it looks like the Cryptosphere is not going to give us much of a "Santa Claus rally" but at least everything hasn't crashed yet so that's a plus isn't it?

On the plus side, it also looks like we're not going to end up with a steep downturn at the end of the year like we did at the end of 2022. Again time to have gratitude for the small favors in life.

As the year is now starting to wind down and we only have about 10 days to go, the Dad-Hooman and I have been starting to make our plans for 2024, both in terms of the greater world and in terms of the Curator Cat blog. Of course, I wanted to be all about me but the Dad-Hooman assures me that he needs to do his thing as well... or there's not going to be enough cat food! So I do pay attention to what he says.

Smudge actually gets to live in the Christmas tree room while the family and the little dogs are here because she tends to be fairly peaceful and the dogs are not allowed in there either. It's too bad that I don't get to spend much Christmas time with my fuzzy housemate but I know that we will have special treats after Christmas when everybody's gone home again and life returns to some semblance of normal.

The Hoomans have assured me that they're not going to have any more dogs and I'm really okay with that. I wouldn't mind having a kitten to play with (or maybe even two) but I could do without anymore dogs. I love our aging dog Daisy but she's not much fun anymore... she mostly just lays around and sleeps her way through her golden years.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
