Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

Welcome to the weekend, and therewith it is time for another Caturday update because — as we all know by now — Saturday means Caturday, and that means time to share pictures of your favorite feline friends! Unfortunately, we are running late again this week, because the Hoomans have been very busy!

Of course, this weekend is also the weekend of Memorial Day (celebrated as "Remembrance Day" in many other parts of the world) it is also what the Hoomans call a "Holiday Weekend."

Even though it is often a weekend for parties and barbecues in the park, it is really more of a somber occasion as we pause to remember those we knew who lost their lives while serving in military service.

Makes me very grateful cats don't have to serve in the military, although I have heard that "ship's cats" were not uncommon in olden days. Not sure I'd want that job, as I really don't care for water... other than to drink!

It has been a beautifully sunny and warm weekend so far, so we cats have been enjoying the ever coveted sunny spots, while the Hoomans have been outside, busily working in their garden!

Now that it is evening, they are back inside... bringing with them many interesting smells of dirt and the outdoors.

That said, we remain grateful to be pampered and well-fed housecats, because the life of a street cat is not an easy one... particularly in a part of the world like ours where there are many predators.

Personally, I like to spend time in the Mom-Hooman's office when the Hoomans are working in their garden, because I can look out and see what they are doing.

Besides, I can also watch the "Kitty TV" of the pair of chickadees who are nesting in the tree by the front door. It's a good thing to keep up with all the happenings of the neighborhood!

Relatively short update this week, mostly because the Hoomans have a lot going on. I wish they had more time for kitty playtime... but sometimes that's how things work out... on the whole, we have a pretty good life!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
