Persistence Makes for Success!

Persistence makes you successful!

Well, maybe it doesn't exactly make you successful, but at least it gives you a better chance of getting you somewhere than approaching life with an all-or-nothing drive for success.

The thing about simply "showing up every day" — as opposed to always striving for the greatest things and the biggest leaps — is that it gets pretty tedious and boring after a while. After all, we're talking about routine, here.

That said, simply "showing up" is often the only path or recourse for those of us who possess no great natural talents, skills or gifts. Rather than "outsmart," we depend on outlasting others... including some who might seem better equipped.

There is so much advice out there on how to succeed with social media, build a following, build a business and establish your personal brand. The problem with most of these is that they try to sell people "magic formula" approaches that simply don't work.

Of course, a good bit of that is merely a sales pitch, because everyone would like to hink there there really is some amazing way where you can get the success without putting in a bunch of endless and often tedious effort.

The cat as art!

There's a huge difference between earning 100,000 followers directly, one at a time, and buying 100,000 followers... and that becomes especially evident when you discover that your "bought" followers are merely "button clickers" who care neither about you, nor about what you have to say. What actual use is that, other than being able to say "I have 10,000 followers!"

Is that really who you want to have as your followers?

I realize that I am perhaps only speaking to a limited audience here, because so many people go into social media content creation with the dreams of reaching "greatness." I don't happen to be one of those, and would be very happy with just doing "pretty well."

As such, I also don't have much interest in "radical" techniques to lure thousands of people... often due to somewhat sketchy practices.

Artified!

The 2nd half of 2025 is at hand, and I feel hopeful that it will be an improvement over the first half. I'm lagging behind on my Hive goals... but I can still catch up!

As a wise person once remarked: "it's only too late if you don't start now!"

Till the next one, thanks for stopping by!

even if all you do is walk ten steps, it's still ten steps more than holding still.
