A Relaxing Sunday Cycle at Woodlands North Waterfront Park
If there is one place that I would highly recommend visiting on a Sunday morning, it would be the Woodlands Waterfront Park.

Since it is already at the edge of Singapore, it feels much less crowded compared to the parks near the city center. On weekends, those more central spots can get very busy, and today I really was not in the mood for large crowds. I wanted a place where I could just slow down, breathe, and enjoy the morning at my own pace.

That is why I decided to spend my Sunday cycling around Woodlands North and visiting the Waterfront Park.

It turned out to be such a good decision.

From the moment I arrived, the whole place already felt calm and refreshing. The wide pathways, the open skies, and the peaceful water views made the ride feel very relaxing. One of the things I enjoyed most was how easy it was to move around the park connectors. Because it was not overly crowded, I felt free to navigate through the area without worrying too much about bumping into too many people. It was one of those rides where you can simply enjoy the motion of cycling while taking in the scenery all around you.

And the scenery here is really beautiful.

There is a viewing deck at the waterfront where you can clearly see Johor Bahru across the water. It is one of those spots that instantly makes you stop and stare for a while. I even joked to myself that if my arms were strong enough, maybe I could throw a stone all the way to Malaysia. Or maybe if I were some kind of super swimmer, I could swim across the border in no time. Of course, that is not the legal way to visit another country, so let us not do that, LOL. But still, it is amazing to stand there and realize just how near Singapore’s neighbor really is. It makes the whole place feel even more unique.

What also made the visit enjoyable was seeing how other people were spending their Sunday there. Some were simply taking a walk along the waterfront. Others were pausing to take selfies and capture the lovely view for their social media. There were also fellow cyclists passing by, and families with kids who looked like they were having such a fun morning together. Seeing children ride their bikes while their parents watched nearby gave the whole park a warm and lively feeling.

At one point, I also saw a group doing Zumba in one of the open spaces. Honestly, staying active at Waterfront Park really does seem like one of the best ways to spend a Sunday. Whether you are into walking, jogging, cycling, group exercise, or simply sitting by the water and enjoying the view, this place has a little something for everyone.
As for me, I mostly just cycled around and recorded the experience through photos and videos. I wanted to capture the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful clouds above the water, and the relaxing energy of the place. I will be posting my full-length video on YouTube and I will also share it here on Hive. But for this blog post, I just wanted to share some of the photos I took while riding my bicycle around the area.

Sometimes, the best kind of Sunday is not the loud or busy kind. Sometimes, it is simply about finding a peaceful corner of the city, hopping on a bike, and letting the day unfold gently in front of you.
Woodlands Waterfront Park gave me exactly that kind of morning.
Happy Sunday, everyone.
