I'm actually feeling pretty ok. Not quite go to the movies for 2.5 hours but pretty damn good.

My heart rate is a bit all over the place. still lower than average but crazy fluctuations.

BP lying down 124/81. sitting up 115/ 90 Standing (1 minute) 135/95 (pretty typical for me when standing/upright. Actually in the low end if I was upright more than a few minutes.

For some reason my systolic goes down if I am sitting upright by dia goes up. This has been consistent since my POTS diagnosis and I started tracking this. Sometimes if I am upright for too long my sys/dia are almost equal. No one really cares about the bottom number for some reason. Isn't diastolic number pressure between heart beats or something? I am not really sure.

That's not counting a significant difference between bp in my arms- but that is a whole other topic (and one no dr seems to think is odd)

The important thing is you are feeling a little better. It's good that the old BP is acting relatively normally. Diastolic isn't as concerning unless it's really high or really low. The difference between arms can come all sorts of different reasons, Unless there's a symptom indicating a problem I think most doctors just ignore those kind of issues.

Hopefully you'll feel well enough to go to the movies soon!

I have orthostatic hypertension and faint when upright, I'd say that's a symptom indicating a problem lol. This is not necessarily "normal" in POTS patients. I really need a POTS specialist or at least someone familiar enough with dysautonomia to help with some of these issues.

Also I want to try mestinon or iverbadine. There is some data suggesting mestinon is not good for asthmatics but I can't seem to figure out why.Beta blockers can have dire consequences for asthmatics yet they are usually the first /only med POTS patients get. At least mestinon won't block my inhaler (at least I dont think it does).

I am actually feeling really good today for me. I'd put my Bell's score at 20. Pain is a 4 Probably best not to push my luck with the movies today but we will get there sometime soon :)

Small studies have show mensinon to be safe in asthmatics, so it wouldn't be unreasonable if they were to try. You just need to find the right doctor! A good POTS specialist could definitely help you!

Yeah I'd definitely try it if it was offered, just curious as to why some researchers and even POTS cardiologists say it's bad for asthma. I really don't know why. Ivarbadine
is promising too. I believe there are clinical trials for POTS and iveabadine happening right now.

Fun fact: The past month or so my hair is growing very fast and is less dry and more shiny. Not sure if it's related to rapamycin or the NAD+precursors. My skin looks good too. More "glowy" . I have dry skin & hair but it's kind of better than usual and this is the "dry season" No wonder these things are used in beauty products.

That's great that it's in trials at least! I wouldn't complain about the faster hair growth and more shiny! I'm not sure either... I always have had oily skin and oily hair!

Pretty much everything about me is dry, even my sense of humor at times lol. I don't even really sweat unless I am in pre/syncope. The barely sweating thing seems common amongst patients with ME and lots of POTS folks as well-my guess it's related to SFN or something similar.
