GoE Tournament: Where, when, what to do?

Greetings everyone and welcome to another GU post. This time I'm here to give all you folks a flash warning about the upcoming GoE Kickoff Tournament hosted by team HAT. It starts in less than 2 days (July 12th) and you can find more details in their reddit post here. The synopsis is the tournament is FREE to enter via GUstakes and requires at least 4 cards from the new set be present in your deck. With a plethora of prizes for all contestants who enter, this really is one heck of a kickoff event! There is no reason to not enter it in these last moments if you will be available to play. This tournament is completely free and offers prizes just through participation.

Tokentrove: The easiest place for cards

The easiest place to acquire new cards for the expansion is to either buy packs or buy them on the secondary market. The easiest and most reliable at the moment is token trove, and the most recent set that you need to acquire for these upcoming tournaments is Guardians of Elderym. To use tokentrove you only need to sign in with an ETH wallet like metamask or imx passport. Each deck you play must use 4 cards from the new set, they do not have to be different new cards from the new set. All pets are also banned. Keep that in mind for your shopping sprees.

Talking Tidbits: Tournament Thoughts

The new cards are churning, new decks brewing, and a lot of strong archtypes brought about from this set might be seen and brought to the plate during this tournament. I expect to see a lot of guardian magic, regen nature, aggro light, and blitz guardian death, along with the classic "same ol archtypes with 2 sets of 2 neutrals crammed in there" decks for this. It's actually a pretty big turnout and has a fairly good reward pool that was put out by the gods unchained team themselves.

I have a bit of a budget to work with and also scored various cards via the battlepass that can be used for this tournament aswell. I'm likely to just roll into the tournament, maybe do some practices live or in directs but definitely not in ranked. I would like to keep little list peculiarities a surprise until the unboxing if I can, but i do need to start playing through some of these new decks and set aside a day for some serious gods unchained action when I'm not working etc. I've kindof been having a busy and turbulent IRL situaiton going on. It is was it is life sometimes gets ahead of us, but that doesn't mean you should let the opportunity to join this tournmanet get ahead of YOU!
