Guardians of Elderym Arrive to Eucos

A new set is coming to Gods Unchained in a little less than a week. It brings a plethora of new card combinations and mechanics to play with. The new mechanics brought to this set are "Pet and Levelup" along with the new tribes "Guardians and Pets". This set offers 76 unique cards, 7 legendaries, and 6 one of one collectible Mythic variants. To see the complete set of new cards click here to make your own assessments. My own tier list is coming once I'm not traveling quite as much (in about 3-4 days).

Where to get the cards? Packs and BP

The official document lists the packs and their contents as follows
"GoE will launch with three tiers of card packs, each offering unique levels of access and collectability:

Booster Pack – $1.99 USD — max supply 30,000
Perfect for casual players or those dipping their toes into GoE. Contains 6 cards with a standard rarity spread.

Premium Pack – $19.99 USD — max supply 3,000
Designed for dedicated players, these packs contain enhanced shine and rarity distributions to elevate your deck-building potential. Guaranteed legendary. Exclusive Mythic Variant.

Shiny Pack – $199.99 USD — max supply 600
The ultimate collector’s pack. Each card is guaranteed a Shadow or higher shine, and an Epic or higher rarity, making these packs ideal for those chasing high-value cards or trading on secondary markets. Exclusive Mythic Variant.

With every pack containing 6 cards, each opening is a chance at unearthing Legendary cards or even the ultra-rare Mythic Art Variants—true 1-of-1 digital treasures."

Packs are pretty generous this time for the casual collector, extractor, competitive player, and anyone else who might want to participate in this set. I know I might actually bite and get a few this time.

Guardians: A GoG tribe

Guardians draw a pet from the deck that is equal to or of lesser cost than the guardian itself when played. Or if the pet is already in hand it will reduce it's cost to 1 if it costs as much or less than the guardian. This is a very strong ability in and of itself with a lot of synergies and combinations
available.

Pets: A Guardian's best friend

Pets are drawn from the deck by guardians and/or can be reduced to the cost of 1 depending on the cost of the guardians. A lot of these pets are candidates for intricate combinations and strong synergies

Guild of Guardians Crossover Set

This set is a crossover set from the Guild of Guardians which I suppose is set in the same universe as Gods Unchained, but ideally firms up and establishes a unified lore. Elderym is another continent on the same planet I suppose? Either way this is a well done crossover set and the aesthetic fits well with GU. I do wonder how they will tie in the lore though, I'm excited. The set looks way better than I was expecting, I don't play GoG but I might touch it after the lore is established to see what it's about. Autobattler aren't my thing but I'll try most things at least the once.

Fitting Crossover Artwork

The art for this set is actually very well done, I realize a lot of these assets are likely lifted from GoG but still. Well drawn, or generated who knows, and honestly a welcome addition to GU. I wasn't expecting the most from the artwork here since GoG is a drastically different

Talking Tidbits: Tier List Inbound

I still have to do a tier list for the cards in this set like my other tier lists I have done in the past. I've typically been pretty close to the future meta in my tier lists. At least for the Dread and ToF lists, I didn't really do many tier lists before that. I typically do them on a combination of strength, meta perforation, and viability. This set has a lot of good cards available and will change the meta from what it has been, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for the continued support everyone, you all rock. I'll see you all out there in Eucos.
