One of the most memorable surprises of my life happened on my 15th wedding anniversary. My husband and I don't usually celebrate with grand gestures like cake-cutting; we've always kept it simple. When my daughters were younger, I would cook a special meal at home, and they would wish us, and that was it. But as they've grown older and more aware, thanks to their interactions with school friends, things changed.
On our 15th anniversary, my daughters, along with their aunt (my sister-in-law), planned a beautiful surprise for us. They secretly went out with their aunt, ordered a cake, and bought gifts for both my husband and me. They told us they were going shopping for school projects, which was a clever ruse. That evening, when my husband returned from work, they brought out the cake and presented us with the gifts. My daughters gifted me a lovely suit and bought a shirt for their father. I was overwhelmed with joy and tears filled my eyes. It was a moment I can never forget.
Another heartwarming surprise came from my elder daughter. She had always struggled with mathematics and never really liked the subject. I was quite good at math and often encouraged her to practice more, explaining concepts and urging her to find a love for the subject. She took my advice seriously, worked hard, and practiced regularly. When her exam results were released, I was completely amazed. Not only did she score well in all subjects, but she also achieved an impressive 93 out of 100 in mathematics, the highest in her class. This was a huge surprise for me and filled me with immense pride and happiness. To celebrate her achievement, I gifted her a book, knowing how much she loves reading.
These moments, filled with unexpected joy and pride, stand out as the biggest surprises of my life.
