Back then in secondary school I don't have power to skip classes because is a must I attend school everyday except Saturday and Sunday. Even when I don't feel like going to school or I am sick,my parents will force me or chase me to school because I was still little back then.

Another reason I don't skip school back then in secondary school is because I was handling the position of a chapel prefect and a class prefect. Handling this two positions in school makes me not to miss classes because I have to conduct the morning assembly as a chapel prefect and also write class attendance.

Growing up, I am done with secondary school and gain admission into high institution which is a different school life from that of secondary school.

Before I gained admission into high institution, I have always said to myself I will enjoy my life there because of what I heard from those that are there before me. They will always tell that high institution is another world for students,were you live your life freely and no one will bother you if you attend classes or not. Hearing all this I was fully prepared for high institution and also having the mindset that I won't stress myself much in school.

One thing that was good about being a student back in day was coming to class everyday and write your for attendance. In my year one in school, I attended classes for complete one month before I started missing classes for some good reasons. My name was always in the attendance list even though I was not in class before I made a lot of friends in my department and some of them help me to write my name in the attendance.

Haha I know some of you will think I am not a serious student but I only miss class when I want to visit home or get food stuffs because in high institution you live in the school hostel not your family house. And another reason I miss classes is because of all those free time I missed back in secondary school.

But currently now in my final year, missing just a single class will cause you your exams. Currently if you didn't meet up to seventy-five percent of class attendance,you won't be allowed to seat for exams or you are automatically repeating that semester. With this new rule,you won't think of missing a class any day and again no one will write your name in the class attendance because lecturers do head to head count before anyone leaves the class.

I know this might sound funny but is really a bad thing being a student back then but we students enjoy it. You see copying of assignments from other people and also exam malpractice. This two things is something I know student enjoy currently even when they know is bad. I won't say I didn't do these things because they really help me in a way as a student.

In summary of everything I think the new rule for class attendance should still hold because it will make students to be serious with there studies and also not to miss classes. Coming to the side of copying assignments from someone and exam malpractice, I think a separate assignment should be given differently to each students and during exams students should come only with there writing materials and social distance should be applied also.
