Staking COTI Into The Treasury Should Be Simple

Earlier this evening my old army buddy messaged me with a cry for help needing assistance moving his COTI on MetaMask to the COTI Treasury. He is very impulsive and is the same guy who did stupid things resulting in his Revolut account being closed down. Easier said than done if you know what you are doing and it would be very easy if they did not have 3 different classes of COTI tokens floating around. Staking a token should be very basic and not require a degree to do so.
COTI ERC 20, COTI Native and COTI V2 which is the privacy tech Eth L2 token. The clue is where you purchased the token as certain exchanges only have one type.
✅ Supports COTI V2 Native + ERC20
MEXC, KuCoin, Bitrue and Gate.io
⚠️ Supports COTI ERC20 only (no COTI V2 yet)
Binance, Coinbase, Bithumb, Kraken and Huobi.
The no COTI V2 yet I find frustrating as this in my mind should have been a priority and would have made moving COTI into the Treasury far simpler like we used to be able to from the likes of Huobi which I used to use as the native COTI tokens were the ones used for staking.
Crypto is complicated enough and far more complicated when you have to explain to someone that their crypto cannot just be deposited into the staking protocol and first needs to be converted via a bridge. Only once this has happened will the staking in the COTI Treasury take place.

I have had no more messages or face time so I guess I guided my friend in the right direction and he has managed to finally get his COTI staked in the Treasury. If not I am sure to know about it in the morning as this guy is Mr Impatient. So much for when I see you in two weeks time we can sit down and get him staked lol. He has been gone 4 days since he was looking at my Treasury on Thursday so I guess the FOMO got him bad.
To be honest I was quite impressed how far he had got to this point and had been digesting and following YouTube instructional videos. This is how we learn as nothing is easy especially if you are technically challenged like myself. I admit that I am no guru when it comes to these things and I know myself well enough I will try and avoid these scenarios.
The time to move out the comfort zone and learn through physically doing these actions will speed up the learning process and there is no avoiding this. When I look at MetaMask I see confusion as I do not understand how things work yet once you know it has to be easy. The only way to find out is to try doing this yourself and go slow avoiding mistakes.
I promised myself I would try and get my hands on GCOTI by using MetaMask over the coming weeks so I need to get some Eth deposited first to cover the purchase/swap plus gas fees for the transactions and bridge if required. This kind of terrifies me and excites me at the same time as it is a positive step forward. When we had Leofinance doing the CUB defi I was lost and it was a struggle to get to grips with it and why I abandoned it. The process was too out there and too confusing to try and understand. MetaMask looks simpler and I feel I am ready to learn out of necessity. Thankfully there are a few people on discord I can buzz if I get to a point where I am stuck, but more importantly need to try and solve it myself first.

I'm glad to hear he got where he needed to be. It's a bit scary at first but once you get the hang of it, it isn't too bad.
Crypto really needs to get better at the user interface if we want adoption.
