Joined In With HPUD Yesterday

Yesterday was HPUD day and I did an average size power up to take part which I do not normally do as I power up fairly regularly these days. This moth I have done 3 power ups and do think it is a good habit to keep doing. Being close to 155K HP now it will be interesting to see what is achievable this year and would guess somewhere between 170K and 180K HP. The higher the value of HIVE the less HIVE we tend to earn on our posts so this is why I never have any set targets for HIVE as there is too much of an unknown.

The problem being the 4th year of the crypto cycle as there is so much uncertainty around. I will at some point be powering down to benefit from any price action and have kept 4K Hive liquid for any pumps which have all of sudden dried up. This is how it has always worked with me when you have the liquid nothing ever happens and when you have no liquid HIVE all hell breaks loose. There is a saying that if you had no bad luck then you would have no luck and this about sums up my crypto trades. Hoping for a 15-20% pump a few times a month would be nice like what we saw 3 or 4 months ago and even an idiot could make money then so there is hope for me yet and I think we just need to be patient and prepared.

The good thing about having more HP is you can offer more support to the community via curation and delegating whilst boosting your earning returns. The APR on HIVE a dropped over the last couple of weeks and is now sitting at 2.97% which in my case is still worth an extra 12.7 HIVE per day for just holding HP. I have not forgotten how hard it was to earn 13 HIVE when I first started out so these earnings are very much appreciated and every HIVE is valued.

I have been tempted to move the 4K HIVE over to Binance to take advantage of the higher APR on offer which I heard is sitting around 20% which does sound great, but is only an extra 2 HIVE per day. The hope was to use the conversion between HBD and HIVE to benefit from the price action whenever that might happen so I guess I will have HIVE in various places with the sole aim of growing my HP.

The saying money makes more money is the same for stake as the stake does start to grow quicker the more you have and slowly over time HIVE does become easier. You would hope so as this is 7 plus years in the making and why you just need to keep going and stay consistent as that is how the growth happens. There are no tricks or short cuts on HIVE unless you power up FIAT which is your choice and is also not necessary as one can grow organically over many years.
