Human Trafficking/Slavery Is Still Very Much Active In Africa
A story has been hanging around like a very bad smell for months with regard to human trafficking from Africa to the Russian front lines with the war with Ukraine. The evil and greed that exists in the world today has no boundaries.
There was a story that surfaced late last year that one of Zuma's daughters who was a member of parliament representing her daddy's MK Party in Natal had recruited 17 men to train as security guards/body guards under false pretenses. In order to become qualified body guards for the MK Party they needed to go to Russia for special training so off they went.
The story was then leaked and possibly by a family member that this had taken place and these poor souls ended up on the Russian/Ukraine front line. What is important is 17 is the number that had been first reported and 15 only returned. News yesterday stated that the other 2 were accounted for and were in hospital and would be reunited with their families soon. The 15 were being detained by police no doubt for their own protection as the Zuma's would like nothing else than to get rid of any live evidence.
The good news story this week was a PR boost laid at the feet of Rampahosa having a good relationship with Putin and this was requested for the return of the 17 SA citizens. There was no mention of any others until this evenings news stated that there are 2 dead civilians from another batch of duped security guard jobs that also went over. Just seems odd and kind of fishy that 15 returned home for the original group and now there is a report of 2 being dead and conveniently from another group.
Zuma's daughter has since resigned for parliament and the MK party and is under investigation for her role in the recruitment process and if she was paid any money for her services. Talk about a bad egg as this was the same daughter along with her brother who "masterminded" the riots and uprisings in Durban back in 2021 and nothing ever happened to her with no charges being filed. The proof was there using WhatsApp groups to coordinate the various targeted attacks and yet she was not charged with her direct involvement.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs tonight stated that the 2 dead are most definitely not part of the original 17. This sounds like a total cover up as they would have been better off stating that there were 3 or more dead and definitely not 2 which is the missing number form the original 17. is this more about protecting Zuma's family again as it sounds like this is the case as the charges against her would be ramped up due to the deaths.
Africa is an easy spot to traffic people under false pretenses due to the desperation of many of the people who have no chance of legitimate employment. Ukraine mentioned yesterday that they have identified nearly 1800 Africans from 36 different countries with many having been captured.
Kenya estimates that more than 1000 civilians have been lured to Russia by false job offers and are now serving on the front line. Once you are there you are trapped and have to pay your ticket home so you have no choice, but to do as you are told.
Early reports are now suggesting these civilians were sold by their agents to the Russian military which would be slavery and the charges would be far more severe. No wonder Zuma's daughter resigned as these charges are very serious and not ones she can hide from even if the Minister of Foreign Affairs is trying to lead everyone away from the crime scene.

They were extremely lucky to return from that war, average life expectancy of new Russian soldiers is just a few days on the frontline with Ukraine...
Reminds me of the 60 minuters being the nickname of World War 1 pilots. This is probably why these 15 need protection as they were not expected to return and are going to be witnesses in a court case.

Ukrainian prisons are full of so called Russian prisoners, but in fact more than half are from Africa and other countries. They are dead meat as are totally useless in the front line, I don't know what the Russians are expecting from them, they don't even understand what they are told. Madness.
I did not know that up to half of the prisoners are not Russian. I know the North Koreans are heavily supporting the troop numbers, but Africans in the snow fighting have no idea and I agree are totally useless and should not be there.
The broader issue of Africans being lured to the Russian front under false pretenses is alarming on its own. If agents are profiting from placing civilians into combat roles, that crosses into trafficking territory. Once passports are taken and return travel becomes conditional, the power imbalance is obvious.
Agents are definitely profiteering from this and no one knows all the facts to what extent if these civilians are now trapped in this situation. I am not sure if they can just leave as some have been asking for help from their governments to help get them out.
