Growth Takes A Long Time

We all use different metrics o Hive to judge our rate of growth and my go to indicator is the Hive Vote value. It would be easy to just monitor the Hive Power, but the biggest growth influence your account has besides posting is the earning ability it has via curation. Roughly 33% that I earn comes via curation and why this is so important besides supporting other members in the community. Forget the dollar values your vote has and concentrate on the Hive value because we are still around 19 or 20 x from the ATH. The $3.41 Hive price is now a distant memory, but a reminder of what can happen in a crypto cycle.

The Hive Vote growth rate can be slow and tedious and I guess a bit like watching paint dry mainly down to the time it takes to increase in value. The last time I posted about this was roughly 3 weeks ago and in that time period I have managed to add an extra 2200 Hive Power, but the vote value has only increased from 6.63 Hive to what is now 6.66 Hive. The positive take from this is this number is going up and even though small is still worth an extra 9 Hive over a 30 day period or 0.3 Hive daily.

I the past I have noticed that over certain periods he Hive Vote value increases at different speeds and that I believe could be down to the number of accounts powering up their Hive. I say this because when trying to grow my Leo vote value in the past I was going backwards mainly down the rate of staking by other Leo members.

This has to be a good sign if this is the case and highlights a healthy eco system with the majority of accounts staking and growing. We all want to grow in value and the only way to do this is to keep on growing your stake over many years of consistency and commitment. No one has said this is easy and it is far from easy and why enjoying your growth journey is the important part.

I thought the bigger your stake the easier it was too grow, but the reality is the effort remains the same and it is just as hard even though you re now earning slightly more due to what the stake offers you. I do think if you sit back and take it easy that the vote value could decrease over time due to the rate of staking by others around you and why taking it easy having days off is not a wise option.

I am curious to see how many moths it will take to see a 7 Hive vote value now and really hope it does take a while which would mean everyone is also staking growing their HP values. I am almost certain this is all linked and why the full vote values fluctuate so much.
