All I Can Say Is Wow Wow Wow

The new COTI V2 Airdrop kicked off this week and yesterday managed to move my first unlocked stake of 3 from the GCOTI airdrop that finishes on the 10th April. The COTI team mentioned it was going to be lucrative o get involved and they have not disappointed. For hose who have only now started staking you need to give it time to develop because patience is rewarded. This airdrop is all about time with rewards increasing weekly the longer you are involved and why it is important to just let the compounding take over.

The trick here was to listen to the teams instructions when your stake became unlocked and to not withdraw it which would lose you all the advantages you had gained over the new investors. There is an extra APR for those who were involved in the previous airdrop and have been staked for a year. Any COTI staked within the Treasury prior to the 28th February this year would benefit.

Blown Away

We had no clue what the benefit would be worth and I have been seriously blown away because it is so big. The APR on the stake that is now locked until 23rd December is generating a 21.82% APR which will possibly drop off slightly as the TVL rises. I say possibly because the earnings are meant to rise weekly as long as your COTI remains staked. This is also not a hard lock and you can pay a penalty if you require the COTI before the unlocking date so the risk is minimal.

The 21.82% APR is broken down as follows.

APY in COTI 6.36%
APY in gCOTI 3.37%
APY boost in COTI 12.09%

Because I locked the stake for 270 days there was an extra incentive with a higher APR. I do not see the risk here because I expect the crypto cycle peak next year and why I opted out of selecting the 360 day staking option. That would be April 2025 and even though should be before we see the ATH there is still some doubt on exact time lines. My head tells me we will see the ATH's at the end of 2025 so we shall have to see.

Currently all my COTI staked is generating around 45 COTI daily which may or may not rise depending again on the TVL. The upside is my normal stake unlocks on the 17th April and will then benefit more than the 5.05% APR that it currently earns and will hopefully double taking the rewards above 50 COTI daily.

These numbers are seriously good considering I had low expectations when I first started out 2 years ago with the aim of earning $25 monthly as one of my crypto streams. This is now earning nearly 12 x that figure and with the buzz around COTI being an L2 Ethereum token dollar price is expected to be a big number within the next 18 months. Will it be life changing I don't know ,but the more important part is I have given myself a chance. Giving yourself a chance is all you can do and why following the noise is not how you will make the big money and need to be invested ahead of the masses.
