Airdrop Takes Me Closer To 200K COTI Goal

Today COTI announced that the airdrop campaign rewards will be distributed sometime this month. This was a campaign that has lasted 12 months and involved staking your COTI without unstaking as that would cost you the airdrop. I was expecting around 10-12K COTI for my efforts and I under estimated as the final number is 16 104 COT tokens. This is very welcome news as this will take my total staked to around 185K and within touching distance of the 200K COTI staked goal.

I knew I would get there eventually, but realistically had no idea when and was hoping before the end of this cycle. Well that target will be comfortably achieved possibly by the end of this month which is a relief as this has taken close to 42 months to achieve and basically this entire crypto cycle. The aim was to see what was possible if one applied themselves accumulating over an entire 4 year cycle. The 200K was an out there type number that was more in hope than anything else and was aimed to push myself to see if it could be achieved.

If you reach for the stars and get close the that is a win in itself, but when you actually reach the goal it is quite unbelievable. Crypto is one investment that will always shock you as there is constant change and nothing ever stays constant.

I guess the airdrop I forgot to factor in those that were staked and got liquidated or moved their stake not knowing they would be disqualified. 16 104 may only be worth just on $1345 today, but we know the prices will rise so who knows how much this is really worth in the future. Where else do you get given $1350 for doing something you would be doing anyway during an accumulatio stage of the Bear market.

The upside is those receiving the airdrop will not be selling now dumping the token like we see with other airdrops as these are people who have staked and locked their stake for over a 12 month period. We all know what is coming later this year and this is hopefully some serious value.

The good news in achieving my target with some time to spare is that number will be well over 200K when we see the peak of this Bull cycle. This also allows e to proceed with my next target and that is accumulating VET and VTHO. I was hoping to already be working on this last year and have some way to go to getting this achieved as the staking starts on July 1st which is roughly 7 weeks away. This maybe too soon for the 200K VET which is one of the minimum stakes for the pool, but will achieve the 48K for the smaller pool.
