RE: The End of the EU: Blame Trump

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

How can the euro be a contender for the world reserve currency when its economy relies heavily on taxation and not just taxation on all grounds but taxation as the highest revenue stream that is eating up the average man, while the rich still flourish in massive wealth, leaving room for more acquisition of properties causing a hike in price for the same average man to afford?

Fair enough Trump might get blamed for certain fallouts but one thing I can predict is something will take the blame which will deviate from the problem source. Passing blame is kind of a political strategy for bureaucrats and from the limelight of things, the EU will take Trump's tariffs as the cause or a contributing factor, like something similar to when Nigeria's Finance Minister, Wale Edun blamed a crypto exchange (Binance) for a country's dilapidating economy and currency, instead of focusing on the basic cause - the economy is reliant of imports and aid, hallowing in debt and lagging on innovation or technological advancement. So EU will most likely focus on Trump or something else instead of seeing that their regulations and taxation are now stifling innovation, in return contributing to an increase in unemployment.
