When Could We See a Breakout?
We have all been wondering will Hive break out with Bitcoin (BTC) making all time highs? As of now, Hive is trading at $0.2603 with approx. $2.36M in 24 hr volume. This is extremely small in comparison to many crypto projects with Hive sitting at #414 on coingecko by market cap.
I first want to talk about where we have been before we figure out where we may go. So let's rewind and take a look at the last year. Looking at the 1-year price chart, Hive hit a notable local bottom of approx. $0.19 on October 23, 2024, followed by a sharp rally above $0.60, indicating strong short-term bullish momentum. However, this rally was unsustainable, and the price quickly corrected back below $0.30. Since then, Hive has struggled to maintain bullish momentum, oscillating between $0.20 and $0.30, forming a consolidation zone.
Consolidation zones are critically important in trading because they often act as precursors to major price moves. Consolidation reflects uncertainty or neutrality. Bulls and bears are evenly matched, and the market is waiting for new information or momentum to break the deadlock. Most major breakouts either upward or downward happen after consolidation. The longer the consolidation, the more powerful the eventual move can be, due to the buildup of pressure which we call coiling.
Since we have been in a period of consolidation any significant increase in volume (3x or more), especially with candles closing above the $0.30 resistance, could confirm a bullish breakout. A close above $0.30 with strong volume and sustained support could trigger a run toward $0.40–$0.50 range. So the real question is when do I think it will happen? Well I'm guessing 1-2 months so long as BTC stays stable and or continues to be bullish. Money tends to flow out of BTC into alts which in the past have lagged some of BTC success.

If this happens in the next few months, it will be a matter of great joy for all of us. I have been working on this platform for a long time and this is where I meet my expenses.
