I did fall through a kitchen floor once, but miraculously was only dazed, the landing being quite soft and just 1.5 feet down. Lucky I think.
That is lucky I was reading a while back about some kids exploring an old building and they thought dust in the air was no big deal. Turns out they were breathing asbestos dust for a few hours.
That's a frightening scenario. Asbestos exposure, even for a short period, can lead to serious health problems later on. It's critical to be cautious in older buildings, especially when there's visible dust or signs of deterioration. Proper protective measures should always be taken to avoid inhaling harmful particles like asbestos.
