More Silver Added to the Stack
My wife was excited to be the hand model for my one of my most recent silver buys. I was able to get a few of these at a few percentage over spot. Its not as good as my last post where I was able to get 3 random circulated at spot, but I am still pretty happy with the buy.
I did not know much about the mint so of figured for this post I’d educate myself. What I found was in 1890, the South African Mint was established. However, when the county was absorbed into the British Empire in 1902, the mint was closed and replaced by a new branch of the British Royal Mint. The mint was reopened as the South African Mint in 1941, as part of a process in which the country began to cut links with Britain.
I personally like the Krugerrand. This 1oz South African Silver Krugerrand Coin is popular for many reasons, including its clean appearance and low premium.
I’ve seen a few other post these coins so I figured I’d get some of my own!

The Krugerrand was the only gold non circulated coin produced until the Royal Canadian Mint began producing them in 1979. There was never a silver Krugerrand, they began in 2017 for the 50th anniversary of the Krugerrand. Nice grabs
