Meet Crizzy: A Teacher Who love to Dance, Travels, and Never Gives Up

Hi Hello! I’m Crizzy, an energetic teacher who loves dancing and singing (though I think singing hates me. Hahahahaha… Life wasn’t always easy for me. Before I became who I am today, I went through a lot of challenges, moments where I almost gave up. But instead of losing hope, I kept reminding myself to stand up, keep going, and fight through the trials.
My life changed a lot when my father passed away while I was in second year high school. It was so hard for our family. My mother did everything she could, even farming, just to feed us. I remember going to school with a lunch of corn mixed with sweet cassava or sweet potato, paired with dried fish.
In college, I worked as a nanny during the day and went to school at night. It was very tiring, but I studied hard because I wanted to help my mother and provide my family. With the help of our Almighty God, I graduated and was blessed to be hired as a teacher. Now, I can provide for my family and siblings, which is one of my greatest joys.

Dancing has always been my safe space for me. Whenever I feel stressed or drained, I turn to dance because it’s my outlet, and simply my way of recharging. This photo is one of the many moments that shows how much I truly love dancing. Most of the time, I get invited to lead or join different dances, and honestly, this makes me happy. Dancing is not just something I do, but it’s part of who I am.

Traveling and going on adventures is my other way of unwinding and refreshing. Whenever life gets too heavy or when I am occupied with so many things, exploring new places helps me feel refreshed and alive.

This photo was taken in El Nido, Palawan, the most beautiful and breathtaking island I’ve ever visited. The view and vibes reminded me how good it feels to step away.

I joined Hive because it was introduced to me by my colleague @wittyzell @vinzie1. When I saw her blog post, I was amazed by the different stories I read and it made me even more interested. Since I’ve always enjoyed posting on my social media accounts, I felt like this platform was a perfect fit for me. I truly love writing through sharing my travels and adventures, and Hive gives me the opportunity to express more about myself. I’m really thankful to the people who introduced me to this community, because for me, this is an opportunity to grow, especially in my writing journey.
