@alessandrawhite Describes How CWH Utilises Neuroscience to Enhance Focus
This is video 4 of 30 about Creative Work Hour, the online Co-Working for HIVE. Today, @alessandrawhite records the episode from the IRL co-working space, Department, in the LEEDS Creative District. From this collaborative venue Alessandra explains the role of co-working or body doubling to take creativity and turn it into creative work.
Cognitive science research shows us that working alongside others doing similar things enhances the outcome and enjoyment of learning and knowledge working. Adding in a mindfulness exercise as work commences increases the likelihood of focus, flow, and deep work.
We design every CWH session, to include these elements and we blend them with intention setting and a feeling of belonging, so that creatives can show up, contribute to the camaraderie, and get some traction on projects that matter.
