I lead a very simple life, one where I am constantly growing, learning, and becoming versions of myself that my future self will always be proud of. Along this journey, I have picked up certain values that resonate deeply within me and strongly influence my approach to decision-making as well as how I relate with people. For the sake of this beautiful topic, I will briefly point out three of them.

The first is empathy. Over time, I have grown into a very empathetic person. I put myself in people’s shoes before I judge them because I understand the complexity of being human and making decisions. None of us is perfect and we all clearly have flaws. I believe it is unfair to make life harder for someone who is already struggling to discover themselves or battling with poor decisions. Instead, I choose to understand their thought process, criticize constructively when necessary, and offer a helping hand if I can. This approach has changed how I deal with people and has created room for more authentic connections.

The second is understanding the concept of smart work. I have come to realize that while hard work is rewarding, it is not enough on its own. You must be smart alongside it. If you don’t want to remain mediocre, you cannot keep doing things the same way as everyone else. Growth requires bold moves, creativity, and strategic thinking. Smart work is about knowing when to put in the effort and when to delegate. It’s what sets apart people who simply work hard from those who actually achieve outstanding results.

The third is consistency. To be very honest, I have witnessed consistency change people's lives completely. It can literally take you from zero to one hundred. However, consistency takes patience, discipline, and a strong belief in yourself. It is not an easy journey, it takes tenacity, the willingness to keep showing up even when motivation fades, and the humility to start over when you fall off the track. Consistency is key, so they say. And trust me when I say the people who repeat this phrase are not lying at all.

Of all these values, the one I find most challenging is consistency. Not necessarily in the goals I set for myself, but in the process of following through. Life gets overwhelming sometimes and I take breaks that might later derail me. Although I always find my way back, it often slows me down. Fortunately, things have been getting much better lately, and I truly hope it continues that way and gets even much more better.
