Honestly, I an finding it hard to decipher if this is excitement or if it is just that I am nervous. The long awaited service year is finally starting tomorrow and I do not know what to even expect. I was meant to be posted about a month back, but I was moved to this new batch. I remember looking forward to my call up letter, to be aware of the location where I would be taken to, to serve my Father's land. The anticipation was cut short, despite the fact that I was already getting prepared for the new phase, I had even gotten the necessary items I needed.

Well, it's a month or more now and the batch that seemed quite far then is finally here. Honestly, I don't think I am excited, I am just curious--about what is next. Also, I am looking forward to this three-week camp thingy, and that is simply because I have never had a camp experience. I think I want to genuinely make friends and meet new people too, it would be nice I guess. Anyway, we'll see how it goes, the phase is here already.

The call-up letter came in last night, after so much tension and drama by the NYSC officials. They expected us to resume camp on the 26th of June and by 8:00pm on June 25th, nobody knew where they will be posted to🤣. It was so funny, but then, it came in eventually and I just couldn't go today, I postponed it till tomorrow. I am busy packing up now, there is so much to do. I went to the market earlier and I also branched at the printer's place to print out some documents I would be needing tomorrow, together with my brother's own.

My brother will also be serving and luckily, we were posted to the same place. I am specially excited about that because somehow, I know I wouldn't suffer too much🤭😂. I am just being delusional though, I am a big girl! I will be fine on my own😌. But we should not jam sha, he will not escape buying me ice cream😂💔

Jokes aside, this night will be a really long one because I am not even half ready! I still have a lot to pack and put in place. Anyways, I will keep you all updated tomorrow how it turns out 🤗.
