IS CONSISTENCY REALLY KEY?

Consistency is Key

I cannot begin to count the number of times I have heard that saying, and I am very sure you will be very familiar with it as well. But let's talk about it.

Is consistency really key?

Does doing something consistently guarantee automatic success over time? Is consistency the only variable to actually consider when it comes to aiming for success or change of any kind? This is my honest opinion:

I will say that I agree that consistency is indeed a very important tool for success, growth, and change. However, there are "buts," and you might have seen that coming. My thought process is usually that as much as consistency is important, it is very crucial to pay more attention to what you are being consistent at. I don't think plain consistency guarantees success or positive change. I think every step of the way, you should reflect and ensure you are doing things correctly.

I know a girl who has a YouTube channel, and in the past years I have followed her, I haven't seen her make intriguing posts that make me want to watch her content. I think she has been consistent, but truly, with the way she is moving, if she doesn’t make an intentional change and re-analyze her strategies, I don't know what will happen. So being consistent alone isn't just the key everyone is trying to find. It is simply about being consistent at the right things and not staying in one place. That is how you get to grow and see the kind of results you are looking for.

I am trying to incorporate this in my business as well. It is not just about posting every day and showing up every day; you have to be intentional about it. Posting perfumes every day might not exactly drive the kind of sales I am looking for. That is why I have decided to start making video content, talking about different things concerning perfumes, and educating people about things they likely don't know. I want to move completely out of my comfort zone. That way, growth won't be so far-fetched, with all things being equal.

Imagine writing every day on Hive and not exactly engaging with other posts and accounts. How exactly does one intend to grow if not just by luck? Showing up alone shouldn't be the goal. That is why so many people end up being so frustrated. Because, to be fair, they keep showing up every day but they are not seeing the kind of results that they want, not knowing that they just haven't been showing up in the right way.

That is why one has to heavily invest in knowledge. You shouldn't be the same person you were last week, there should be an addition, no matter how small. And maybe a change in positive mentality and even so much more. That is how you keep becoming better versions of yourself every day.

If one isn't careful and intentional enough, what seems like consistency will just purely be repetition. I'll like to end this here now, thank you for reading.

See you in the next one, and cheers to Day 2🥂.
