I HAD A PHOTOSHOOT TODAY AFTER A WHILE!!📸

I had quite a day today! Apart from the fact that my day started off so good, the rest of the day turned out very eventful and interesting. I had a shoot with a client (for professionalism sake) today, but he is a very good friend of mine that I have known for so many years. Before today, I had been so nervous about the shoot because it has actually been a while I took pictures or even carried a camera. I have been at home and didn't have access to a camera like I would have if I were still in the school area. I just faced business and after school life, but I never forgot my photography skill anyways.

So, I was feeling nervous especially yesterday, since today was the shoot. This morning, I had to check through some YouTube videos just to rekindle my confidence and just put my brain in that prepared mode. Maybe I was delusional or not, it seemed to work anyways😂. I went to a studio to rent a camera to use for the photoshoot. The rent fee was a bit above budget but I was eventually able to beat it down from 10,000 naira to 6000 naira. The lens that was available wasn't my most preferred lens but I had no choice but to manage it.

I went to the hostel and waited for my cousin to get ready because she wanted to come along with me to help out with the shoot. I had contacted my client friend about our movement so we could all meet at the location. The location we chose was the first church in Nigeria, Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Ake, Abeokuta. The concept he wanted to recreate was Thomas Shelby pictures from peaky blinders and we wanted the pictures to give the 80's kind of vibe. Hence, the selected location.

I got to the place with my cousin and we had to wait for few minutes before much friend arrived. Looking around, I saw this weird looking building with doors without stairs connected to them. I mean, it was just funny to see and I was wondering why it was built like that. We asked questions about it but the only thing we were told was that the building was owned by the government and that they are in fact, offices.

Do you think the building actually represents something?

Well, my friend came and went to change his cloths, then we started the photoshoot. I had already taken series of pictures until rain started falling and we all had to hide under this building since it had a shade. I think it is an extension of the main church.

While hiding from the rain and after the rain ended, I took some random pictures.

Apparently, this location holds so much history than I thought!

After the rain stopped, we took few more pictures and decided we should conclude the shoot. My friend then suggested that we go to a restaurant after the shoot to eat and just chill. We didn't prepare for that but it wasn't a bad idea at all. It was even a location I had never been to since all the years I have lived and schooled in Abeokuta, so I looked forward to it.

It was really interesting and I had a good time with them. When we got home, I imported the pictures from the card to my laptop. Anyways, I can only give you a snippet of the outcome of shoot now😌.

This morning, I had to check through some YouTube videos just to rekindle my confidence and just put my brain in that prepared mode.

I love the fact that you were truthful to yourself and made sure to refine your skill just before you went out to do your thing.

I was eventually able to beat it down from 10,000 naira to 6000 naira.

Eeeiiii God abeg o.... for this economy ? Don't worry, this is just one of the attributes of wife material that you have just portrayed. Those pictures are nice; waiting to see the edited pictures.
