What is Conclave Arcana?

The game Splinterlands is card-based, meaning a deck of cards that each player has at their disposal to play battles. From time to time, a new set of cards is released, changing the entire game dynamics.

That's what happened in May 2025 when the new card set called Conclave Arcana was launched. I bought some card packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles to earn rewards in this #Splinterlands game that is #play2earn!

1. Opponent’s Match History

2. Ruleset Analysis

Now we need to observe the battle rule changes: the so-called Ruleset! In this case, we’ll have some interesting changes:

In this battle, the rules will be modified as follows:

• Armored Up adds shields to all cards. Those without shields receive +2, and those that already have them get +2 more. This automatically makes melee and ranged attacks more difficult, leading players to choose magic cards, which are not affected by shields!
• Tis But Scratches reduces one point of each card’s max health for every successful attack received. This may seem irrelevant, but if you're using healing (Heal) cards, you'll have a hard time maintaining your strategy.
• Mana: 27 points are enough for a medium-sized battle.

3. Strategy Definition

Based on the Summoner-type cards we have, let’s define our battle strategy. Since players tend to use magic cards, we’ll counter their strategy using an ability that weakens magic attackers, provided by our summoner:

Weakening what I suppose to be the opponent's main attack force, I have a chance to counterattack with lots of magic! Of course, my strategy will also include magic attackers. But we can't focus only on that, or we might fall into the same trap we’re setting!

The Execute ability will guarantee us an extra attack whenever the opponent is about to fall. To take advantage of this, we’ll look for cards of the same lineage as the summoner: elf!

I have three Elf-type cards that can be used under this condition:

So our strategy is complete with these two approaches: weakening the opponent’s magic and exploiting the Execute ability!

4. Battle

This battle took place on July 10, 2025, and you can watch it via the link:

Round 1 starts and we discover there's a lot to celebrate! The opponent relied on magic, with their summoner granting +1 magic attack! We made the right choice to counter this strategy and will nullify that upgrade with our summoner’s -1 magic!

It's in round three that we see the Execute ability being used to its fullest. Thanks to a magic attack power of two points, each time the ability is activated it’s 4 health points less for the opponent. Surely they weren’t happy!

The result couldn't be different! We won the battle and with it some SPS tokens! That’s 0.353 SPS, and I currently have a total of 2324 SPS staked, generating a multiplier of 10.2, making my GLINT wallet grow daily!

Foi isso que aconteceu em Maio de 2025 quando foi lançada a nova coleção de cards chamada Conclave Arcana. Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #Splinterlands que é #play2earn!

1. Histórico de partidas do adversário

2.Análise do Ruleset

Agora devemos observar as modificações das regras de batalha: o chamado Ruleset! Neste caso teremos algumas mudanças interessantes:

Nesta batalhas as regras serão modificadas da seguinte maneira:

• Armored Up vai adicionar escudos em todos os cards. Aqueles que não tem, receberão +2 e aqueles que já tem serão somados também +2 escudos. Automaticamente dificultando ataques melee e ranged, o que faz com os jogadores optem por trazer cards mágicos que não são afetados pelos escudos!
• Tis But Sratches faz a redução de um ponto da vida máxima de cada card em cada ataque recebido com sucesso. Isso parece irrelevante, mas se você estiver atuando com cards de cura (Heal) então vai ter muita dificuldade em manter sua estratégia.
• Mana: 27 pontos são suficientes para uma batalha mediana.

3. Definição da estratégia

Com base nos cards que possuímos do tipo Invocadores, vamos estabelecer a estratégia de batalha neste momento. Como os jogadores tem a tendência de usar cards mágicos, vamos afetar suas estratégias usando uma habilidade que vai enfraquecer os atacantes mágicos, ela é concedida pelo nosso invocador

Enfraquecendo aquela que suponho ser a principal força de ataque do adversário, eu tenho chances de contra atacar com muita magia! É claro que minha estratégia vai contemplar também atacantes mágicos. Mas não podemos ficar pensando apenas nisso, pois podemos cair na mesma armadilha que estamos montando!

A habilidade Execute vai nos garantir um ataque extra sempre que o adversário estiver prestes a sucumbir. Para obtermos essa vantagem vamos localizar cards da mesma linhagem do invocador: elf!

Eu tenho três cards do tipo Elf que podem ser usados nesta condição:

Assim nossa estratégia está completa com essas duas investidas: diminuir a magia do adversário e explorar a habilidade Execute!

4. Batalha

O round 1 abre e descobrimos que temos muito a comemorar! O adversário apostou em magia e com seu invocador concedendo +1 ponto de ataque mágico! Nós fomos certos em combater essa estratégia e vamos anular esse upgrade com nosso invocador -1 magia!

É no terceiro round que vemos a habilidade Execute sendo melhor aproveitada. Graças ao poder de ataque de dois pontos mágicos, cada vez que a habilidade é ativada são 4 pontos de vida a menos para o adversário. Certamente ele não ficou feliz!

O resultado não poderia ser diferente! Obtivemos a vitória e com ela alguns tokens SPS! São 0,353 SPS sendo que ao todo eu possuo 2324 SPS em stake, fazendo assim um multiplicador de 10,2 fazendo minha carteira de GLINT aumentar a cada dia!
