The beginning

I joined the game after a friend invited me. Yes, a real person came to my house and showed me the app. He told me the game was #play2earn and I didn't even know what that meant. It took me a while to be convinced to try it. According to HiveTasks my account was created at

The first difficulty was buying the *spellbook, for those who don't know, I'm located in Brazil. Here the local currency is the "Real" or BRL for nerds. To buy the spellbook you would need an international credit card. So, here's a tip for the developers to improve this entry.

After solving the problems, I started playing and struggling in the wooden league, and eventually reaching the bronze league. I achieved the daily goal of reaching the three reward chests. Until I received my first card.

Venari Seedsmith wasn't exactly a dream card, but it's still remembered as the first NFT I ever had in my life! Nowadays, I no longer have this card, I ended up selling it.

The middle

During the time that #splinterlands required Card Power to advance in the leagues. So I needed to buy or rent cards with a lot of CP to be able to advance in search of better rewards! For this reason, I needed DEC and the way to get it was only presented the following year, in 2022. That's when I discovered the existence of HIVE.

My friend told me that by advertising the game I could receive tokens, and with them buy cards. I thought the idea was brilliant! That's why I made my first post on HIVE, which you can see here:

My first card I bought was a Djinn Oshannus that was worth every penny of the USD 2.78 I paid! It helped me a lot to climb the leagues. At that time, we had a new reward system being implemented, using Focus Points, which you can see in the original post by clicking here:

At that time, I was playing a lot! Of course, in the lower leagues because I had few resources. But at that point, I was already able to identify that I should climb until I reached the Gold league. That was where I belonged, with cards and rewards appropriate for my size.

Doing some calculations, I ended up discovering that the Silver league was paying lower rewards than the Bronze league. That's why I insisted on playing in this Bronze league, which resulted in me getting many cards from the Chaos Legion collection.

The end

The bots came, and the changes, CP was forgotten and the leagues were now only based on ranking. A lot has changed, some for the worse. Today, rentals are seasonal, have a minimum cost, there are other tokens involved in the game Glint, GuilldPower, and nothing shakes DEC's position as the game's strong currency.

And the Modern league arrived, pushing the bots away.

Still, with ups and downs, the game is still going strong.

So this is not the end! It's just a phase that will lead us to the next changes, and the cycle of the game reinventing itself will continue and we, the players, will continue to make it worth it!

O início

Entrei no jogo por um convite de um amigo. Sim, uma pessoa física esteve na minha casa e me mostrou o aplicativo. Contou que o jogo era #play2earn e eu nem sabia o que isso significava. Levou um tempo até que eu fosse convencido a tentar. De acordo com HiveTasks minha conta foi criada em

A primeira dificuldade foi a compra do *spelbook, para quem não sabe a minha localização é o Brasil. Aqui a moeda local é o "Real" ou BRL para os nerds. Para comprar o spellbook seria preciso um cartão de crédito internacional. Então, fica a dica para os desenvolvedores melhorarem essa entrada.

Resolvidos os problemas, comecei a jogar e apanha na liga de madeira, e eventualmente chegando na liga bronze. Realizava o objetivo diário de alcançar os três baús de recompensa. Até que recebi minha primeira carta.

Venari Seedsmith não era exatamente um card dos sonhos, mas ficou marcado até hoje como primeiro NFT que tive na minha vida! Hoje em dia eu não tenho mais esse card, acabei vendendo.

O meio

Durante o tempo que #splinterlands exigia Card Power para avançar nas ligas. Então precisava comprar ou alugar cards com bastante CP para poder avançar em busca de recompensas melhores! Por esse motivo eu precisava de DEC e o caminho para conseguir isso foi apresentado apenas no ano seguinte, em 2022. Foi ai que descobri a existência da HIVE.

Meu amigo me contou que fazendo publicidade do jogo eu poderia receber tokens, e com eles comprar cards. Achei a ideia genial! Por isso fiz meu primeiro post na HIVE, que você pode ver aqui:

Meu primeiro card comprado foi um Djinn Oshannus que valeu cada centavo dos USD 2,78 pagos! Me ajudou muito a subir nas ligas. Naquele tempo tinhamos um novo sistema de recompensas sendo implementado, usando Focus Points, que você pode ver na postagem original clicando aqui:

Nesse momento eu jogava muito mesmo! Claro, que nas ligas baixas pois eu estava com poucos recursos. Mas nessa altura eu já era capaz de identificar que eu deveria escalar até chegar na liga Ouro. Alí estava o meu lugar, com cards e recompensas adequadas para meu tamanho.

Fazendo algumas contas acabei descobrindo que a liga Prata estava pagando recompensas menores do que a liga Bronze. Por isso insisti em jogar nessa liga Bronze, o que me resultou em muitos cards da coleção Chaos Legion.

O fim

Vieram os bots, e as mudanças, o CP foi esquecido e as ligas agora eram apenas pelo ranking. Muita coisa mudou, algumas para pior. Hoje os aluguéis são por temporada, tem custo mínimo, existem outros tokens envolvidos no jogo Glint, GuilldPower, e nada abala a posição do DEC como moeda forte do jogo.

E a liga Moderna chegou, afastando os bots.

Ainda assim, com altos e baixo, o jogo segue firme.

Então isso não é um fim! É apenas uma fase que irá nos levar para as próximas mudanças, e o ciclo do jogo se reinventar continuará e nós, os players, vamos seguir fazendo valer a pena!
