Today we're answering the call of the Splinterlands Challenge and introducing a use of the Born Again ability!
Born Again: All units receive the Rebirth ability which allows them to self resurrect once.
The new Rebellion Collection
For those of you who came here through my WEB2 social media and don't know #Splinterlands, this fantastic card game running on Web3, the blockchain called Hive. It's a play-to-win card game, you can win assets that have real value, and trade them in different markets.
The deck was recently updated by the package called Rebellion, it is the fifth collection of cards consisting of 96 new cards that also brought new abilities, which changed the entire strategy of the game !
I will follow the CrazyPhantomBR Strategic Roadmap that you can follow with me below... and if you want to help me improve this guide, leave your comment!
1. Prior Analysis
This is the basic strategy for Splinterlands lovers, and consists of checking your opponent's previous battle history. I usually take a screenshot if I'm playing on desktop, after the game of course!
Adversary @simple-stud has no posts in Hive. From the official battle history, we can see that he simply takes 1 hour breaks between each play. It's a bot that competed with me in the Wild league.
In these cases, the only value of analyzing your opponent's battle history is to know what cards they have, and what level they are at. Since you are not human, we cannot apply predictions to your team choices.
2. Ruleset Analysis
I recreate this image containing the initial information that is given in the pre-game. First, we need to look at the three pieces of information in isolation:
- Mana: Restricted! I usually consider that the amount of mana above 36 already allows me a wide variety of team options. 33 is not enough... we have to think very carefully about which cards to use. The course of one or two more points in the summoner can also be a disaster!
- Splinters: With restricted Mana, when looking at the available splinters you should consider that classic combinations of summoners and low-cost cards may be the best options for the battle. If you invest too much in a summoner you will run out of mana for cards.
- Additional rules: Additional rules today can be up to three. We must observe how they interact with each other. In this case, the summoners will not interfere with the skills, so the ideal is to save and invest in cards. Rebirth usually asks for cards with a Martyr sacrifice.
3. Availability of summoners
The third step of my strategy is to look at what you have available in summoners.
The level of the summoner you intend to use is very important as it defines the level of your team's cards, and a limitation of this type is almost always a sign of defeat.
Scarred Llama Mage
Level 1
Not in this case. Scarred Llama Mage is one of the most powerful summoners and having him at level 1 can be a differentiator.
I have it rented to play Wild games, and I also keep some classic cards to use with it. It has worked!
#4. Your Strategies
The fourth point that I recommend analyzing is exploring your game strategies. Do you have any?
I have several strategies that I have learned while playing.
I like to give them names, so I can remember them more easily. I like to classify into different subtypes.
For this battle, my intention was to use the sacrifice strategy, which is to use cards with the Martyr ability to enhance a card with great destructive potential.
Composing our team
Using my summoner at level 1, my cards are limited. However, with Martyr I will have an upgrade from Kron, the Undying that could unbalance the match.
A magic reduction and also heal can guarantee me what I need to win.
Opposing Team
The opponent chose the Obsidian summoner with level 2.

Unfortunately, this potential in magical attacks can be harmful to my team. With an entire magical team, the damage will be high. But don't forget that I have a trick up my sleeve: a magical attack reducer.

This match took place in the Silver 1 league, as I'm moving up and down the league without having stabilized in the Gold league yet. It can be watched via the link:

R O U N D - 1
The opponent's total magic attack strategy. I classify it as "all or nothing". A situation where the opponent simply has luck or the ability to counter to end the match.
R O U N D - 3
Thanks to Born Again, the ability Martyr was activated twice and put my Kron at very high levels, whose self-healing cannot be overcome by the opponent's attack power.
Nothing can be done in this unfortunate scenario.
Further analysis
A very important point that was neglected by both players was the absence of Dispel cards. This ability is essential to neutralize the attribute upgrades that some cards or abilities may receive on the battlefield.

O baralho foi atualizado recentemente pelo pacote chamado Rebellion, é a quinta coleção de cards sendo composta por 96 novos cards que também trouzeram novas habilidades, o que mudou toda a estratégia do jogo!

1. Análise Prévia
Trata-se da estratégia básica para amantes de Splinterlands, e consiste em verificar o histórico de batalhas anteriores do adversário. Geralmente faço a captura da tela se eu estiver jogando no desktop, depois da partida é claro!
O adversário @simple-stud não tem publicações na Hive. Pelo histórico de batalhas oficial, podemos notar que simplesmente ele faz pausas de 1 hora entre cada jogada. Trata-se de um bot, que disputou comigo na liga Wild.
Nestes casos o único valor de analisar o histórico de batalhas adversário é para saber os cards que ele possui, e em que level estão. Como não é um humano, não podemos aplicar previsões nas suas escolhas de equipe.
2. Análise do Ruleset
Eu recrio essa imagem contendo as informações iniciais que são passadas no pré-jogo. Primeiro, precisamos olhar para as três informações isoladamente:
Mana: Restrito! Eu costumo considerar que a quantidade de mana acima de 36 já me permite uma grande variedade de opções de equipes. Já 33 é pouco... temos que pensar muito bem em que cards utilizar. O curso de um ou dois pontos a mais no invocador também pode ser um desastre!
Splinters: Com Mana restrito, ao olhar para os splinters disponíveis você deve considerar que as combinações clássicas de invocadores e cards de baixo custo podem ser as melhores opções para a batalha. Se investir demais em um invocador vai ficar sem mana para os cards.
Regras adicionais: As regras adicionais hoje podem ser em até três. Devemos observar como elas interagem uma com as outras. Neste caso os invocadores não irão interferir nas habilidades então o ideal é economizar e investir em cards. Rebirth geralmente pede cards com sacrifício Martyr.
3. Disponibilidade de invocadores
A terceira etapa da minha estratégia consiste em observar o que você tem disponível em invocadores.
O level do invocador que pretende usar é muito importante pois define o level dos cards da sua equipe, e uma limitação desse tipo é quase sempre sinal de derrota.
Scarred Llama Mage
Level 1
Não neste caso. Scarred Llama Mage é um invocador dos mais poderosos e possuir ele mesmo em level 1 pode ser um diferencial.
Eu tenho ele alugado para jogar partidas Wild, e também mantenho alguns cards clássicos para utilizar com ele. Tem dado certo!
4. Suas Estratégias
O quarto ponto ponto que eu recomendo analisar é explorar as suas estratégias de jogo. Você tem alguma?
Eu tenho várias estratégias que tenho aprendido enquanto estou jogando.
Gosto de dar nome para elas, para me lembrar mais facilmente. Gosto de classificar em diferentes subtipos.
Para esta batalha, a minha intenção foi utilizar a estratégia do sacrifício, que é utilizar cards com a habilidade Martyr para potencializar algum card com grande potencial destrutivo.
Compondo a nossa equipe
Usando meu invocador em level 1, meu cards ficam limitados. Porém com o Martyr eu terei um upgrade do Kron, the Undying que pode desiquilibrar a partida.
Uma redução de magia e também heal podem me garantir o necessário para vitória.

O adversário escolheu o invocador Obsidian com level 2.

Infelizmente esse potencial em ataques mágicos pode ser prejudicial para minha equipe. Com uma equipe inteira mágica, o dano será alto. Porém não esqueça que tenho um truque na manga: um redutor de ataque mágico.

Esta partida ocorreu na liga Prata 1, já que estou subindo e descendo de liga sem ter me estabilizado na liga Ouro ainda. Pode ser assistida através do link:

R O U N D - 1
A estratégia do adversário ataque mágico total. Eu classifico como "tudo ou nada". Uma situação onde basta o adversário tem a sorte ou habilidade de counter para acabar com a partida.
R O U N D - 3
Graças ao Born Again a habilidade Martyr foi ativada duas vezes e colocou meu Kron em patamares muito altos, cuja autocura não pode ser superada pelo poder de ataque do adversário.
Nada pode ser feito neste cenário lamentável.
Análise posterior
Um ponto muito importante e que foi negligenciado por ambos os jogadores foi a ausência de cards Dispel. Essa habilidade é essencial para neutralizar os upgrades de atributos que alguns cards ou habilidades podem receber em campo de batalha.
