I thought a lot and needed to reflect on what I did on each network I used, to better delimit my answer.

An excellent project that was poorly managed. For many years, it reigned as a communicator, and through it, I managed to make friends that I still have today. Its merger with the unfortunate Skype was a commercial disaster, and the user base was thrown away. A commercial disaster that was never recovered by Microsoft.

Brazil surrendered to the platform's format and adopted it massively, but as not everything generates revenue, for some reason it was deactivated, and once again the user base was abandoned to the elements. Another commercial disaster, as Google failed to maintain the user base or generate revenue.
It came to co-opt users from previous platforms, with more modern and casual programming, bringing interesting functions and good stability. It remains strong today and has a good market value. They say its user base is old, meaning there is no capture of young people on this platform. I have been using it as my main social network outside of HIVE.

It came pre-installed on my cell phone, but I never created an account. I know it focuses on short videos and that it is possible to monetize your content. I don't know anything beyond that and have never sought to learn more. As I have no interest in consuming videos, I have no interest in getting to know this platform.
They say it changed its name. I was never interested in using this platform whose proposal was to publish short text. I always thought that those who have little to say have nothing to say. Relevant content doesn't fit into short texts. Short text has a shelf life as great as its size in characters. It is soon forgotten.
I was forced to create an account to obtain benefits within HIVE, so I created one with my HIVE username.
With a layout that is not at all intuitive for me, I use it out of obligation, aiming to reach one or two contacts who don't have Facebook. I don't like the platform; I don't like the people or the type of content posted on it.
The use of Instagram has become a showcase of appearances, where many seek approval through likes and comments, which ends up distorting the notion of reality. Although it is a powerful tool for communication, marketing, and personal expression, the excess of exposure and constant comparison generates anxiety, superficiality, and a culture of immediate consumption. Authenticity is lacking amidst filters and algorithms that prioritize engagement over relevant content, transforming what could be a space for connection into a stage for social performance.
As an aggravating factor, if you granted all the application's default permissions, your microphone is being used in the background to monitor your needs, generating targeted advertising for you in real-time.
Therefore, by my decision, and in response to the request of the HiveLearners community, the extinction of Instagram is decreed, the worst social network I've had.

Estive pensando: qual teria sido minha primeira rede social, aquela através da qual eu fui introduzido nesse mundo de relações digitais, e que jamais pensaríamos ser tão relevante, a ponto de gerar receitas e virar negócios. Veio para cooptar os usuários das plataformas anteriores, com uma programação mais moderna e casual, trazendo funções interessantes e boa estabilidade. Segue firme até hoje e tem um bom valor de mercado. Dizem que sua base de usuários é velha, ou seja, não há captação de jovens nessa plataforma. Tenho utilizado como principal rede social fora da HIVE.
Tiktok
Já veio pré-instalado em meu celular, porém nunca criei conta. Sei que é focada em vídeos curtos, e que é possível monetizar seu conteúdo. Não sei nada além disso e nunca procurei conhecer melhor. Como não tenho interesse em consumir vídeos, não tenho nenhum interesse em conhecer essa plataforma.
Dizem que mudou de nome. Nunca tive interesse em usar essa plataforma cuja proposta era de publicar texto curto. Sempre achei que quem tem pouco a dizer, não tem nada a dizer. Conteúdos relevantes não cabem em textos curtos. Texto curto tem a vida útil tão grande quanto seu tamanho em caracteres. Logo é esquecido.
Fui obrigado a criar uma conta visando obter benefícios dentro da HIVE, então criei com meu nome de usuário HIVE.
Com layout nada intuitivo para mim, tenho por obrigação, visando chegar a um ou outro contato que não tem Facebook. Não gosto da plataforma, não gosto das pessoas e do tipo de conteúdo postado nela.
O uso do Instagram tem se tornado uma vitrine de aparências, onde muitos buscam aprovação em curtidas e comentários, o que acaba distorcendo a noção de realidade. Embora seja uma ferramenta poderosa para comunicação, marketing e expressão pessoal, o excesso de exposição e comparação constante gera ansiedade, superficialidade e uma cultura de consumo imediatista. Falta autenticidade em meio a filtros e algoritmos que priorizam engajamento em vez de conteúdo relevante, transformando o que poderia ser um espaço de conexão em um palco de performance social.
Como agravante, se você concedeu todas as permissões padrão do aplicativo, seu microfone está sendo usado em segundo plano para monitorar suas necessidades, gerando propaganda direcionada para você em tempo real.
Então, por decisão minha, e atendendo ao pedido da comunidade HiveLearners, fica decretada a extinção do Instagram, a pior rede social que tive.
