Destination Aracaju: municipal market

Welcome, my noble friends TravelFeed! Once again I am here to tell you about my travels around the world! This time we are in Aracaju, the capital of the state of Sergipe, Brazil.

On this day we visited a classic tourist spot in all capitals, the public markets. This is a large food and crafts fair located in the historic center of the city. Its official name is Mercado Antônio Franco and it is open to the public, free of charge, until 4 pm.

In addition to the scorching heat, we can find many people and many products, pleasing all tastes. The first highlight is the clay and wood arts. These clay pieces are handcrafted and painted with the vibrant colors characteristic of the region.

We took the opportunity to buy a pair of hammocks, handmade and inexpensive, compared to the prices in the Bossa region.

We went through the natural plants, spices and teas section. We don't like dry spices and we wouldn't use freshly picked spices, so we just observed the organization of the therapeutic plants and their diversity.

We bought some souvenirs to give to friends, products made with straw and genuine leather.

We took advantage of the huge covered area to sit and taste local food, as well as drink cold drinks to rehydrate.

Bem vindos nobre amigos TravelFeed!
