Buying Conclave Arcana packs and expanding the collection!

What is Conclave Arcana?
The Splinterlands game is based on cards, meaning a deck of cards that each player has available to play battles. From time to time, a new card collection is released, causing the whole game dynamic to change.
That’s what happened in May 2025 when the new card collection called Conclave Arcana was released. I bought some card packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles to earn rewards in this #Splinterlands game that is #play2earn!
The season ended and I managed to reach the Bronze I league, which earned me some GLINTs and also placed me at the season restart in the Bronze II league. So I decided to wait for the update before returning to the game. Today I chose between renting cards and summoners or buying packs. I decided to do both!
Increasing my collection
I went to check my DEC balance and there wasn’t enough to buy packs. This time I decided to buy 5 starter packs which cost 1K DEC each, so I needed to gather 5K DEC. To do this, I made the swap on bee.swap as usual, this time at a total cost of 27 HIVE, and right after I imported the total into my Splinterlands wallet.
Once again the moment of decision arrived, where I could choose between Starter Pack and Standard Pack, with their costs being 1K DEC and 4K DEC respectively. It’s important to buy cards from the most recent collection because they last longer in the Modern gameplay mode. The options were:
With my balance of 5.2K DEC, I chose to buy 5 Starter Pack packs using 4K DEC and save the rest for season rentals. In this case we need to be aware that this pack has a reduced cost because it is extremely limited:
- They are 5 random cards of the Common or Rare type (cannot be epic or legendary)
- 1 card is guaranteed to be Rare
- They cannot be GOLD FOIL
- They cannot be BLACK FOIL

Here we have the first opening row and nothing stands out. From these cards, Tidal Tsunamist is my best option for use — I already have it at level 2 and will take the opportunity to improve it.
In the second row nothing stands out, however I have appreciation for the cards Happy Quokka and Gonach Excavator, which I always use in my battle decks.
In the third row I realized I am receiving exactly the minimum, which is one rare card. I was disappointed! I hope there’s a twist at the end!
We remain unlucky and nothing seems to indicate otherwise. This opening is turning out to be the worst of the new Conclave Arcana collection! Only one row left!
The fifth and last rare card was revealed and indeed none were better. Unfortunately we have days like this, with little luck. Now let’s reveal the upgrades I managed to make with this purchase:

- Bludgeon Hucker
- Conclave Artificer
- Fenmoor Wood Troll
Level 3
- Quillstorm Mage
With these changes, I gain slight advantages in the battles I'm currently playing in the Bronze II league, allowing me to upgrade my arena and receive the league advancement reward. When this happens, we have a good chance of getting good cards because it depends only on luck. I intend to receive this reward and another one, thus reaching the Silver III league.
I intend to continue buying Conclave Arcana Packs and sharing all the results!

O que é Conclave Arcana?
O jogo Splinterlands é baseado em cards, ou seja, um baralho de cards que cada jogador tem a disposição para jogar as batalhas. A cada tempo, uma nova coleção de cards é lançada, fazendo com que toda a dinâmica do jogo mude.
Foi isso que aconteceu em Maio de 2025 quando foi lançada a nova coleção de cards chamada Conclave Arcana. Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #Splinterlands que é #play2earn!
A temporada acabou e eu consegui chegar na liga Bronze I, o que me rendeu alguns GLINTs e também me colocou no reinício de temporada na liga Bronze II. Dessa forma eu decidi esperar a atualização para fazer meu retorno ao jogo. Hoje optei entre alugar cards e invocadores ou comprar packs. Decidi fazer os dois!
Aumentando minha coleção
Fui verificar meu saldo em DEC e não havia saldo suficiente para comprar pakcs. Dessa vez decidi por comprar 5 packs starter cujo custo é de 1K DEC cada, portanto eu precisava juntar 5K DEC. Para isso eu fiz a troca no bee.swap como de costume, dessa vez ao custo total de 27 HIVE e logo em seguida eu importei o total para minha carteira splinterlands.
Mais uma vez chegou o momento de decisão onde eu poderia optar entre Starter Pack e Standard Pack, sendo que seus custos são respectivamente 1K DEC e 4K DEC. É importante comprar cards da coleção mais recente pois eles tem uma duração maior para serem aproveitados no modo de jogo Modern. As opções foram:
Com meu saldo de 5,2 K DEC, optei por comprar 5 pacotes Starter Pack usando 4K DEC e reservar o restante para aluguel de temporada. Neste caso precisamos estar atentos pois esse pacote tem um custo reduzido pois ele é extremamente limitado:
- São 5 cards aleatórios do tipo Comum ou Raro (não pode ser épico nem lendário)
- 1 Card tem garantia de ser Raro
- Não podem ser GOLD FOIL
- Não podem ser BLACK FOIL

Aqui temos a primeira fila de abertura e nada se destaca. Desses cards eu tenho Tidal Tsunamist como melhor opção de uso, já tenho ele em level 2 e vou aproveitar para melhorar.
Na segunda fila nada se destaca, contudo eu tenho apreço pelos cards Happy Quokka e Gonach Excavator que são sempre usados em meus decks de batalha.
Na terceira fila me dei conta que estou recendo exatamente o mínimo que é um card raro. Fique decepcionado! Espero que tenha uma reviravolta no final!
Seguimos sem sorte e nada parece indicar o contrário. Essa abertura está sendo a pior da nova colação Conclave Arcana! Falta apenas uma fila!
A quinta e última card rara foi revelada e realmente não houve nenhuma melhor. INfelizmente temos dias assim, de pouca sorte. Agora vamos revelar os upgrades que consegui fazer com essa compra:

Com essas mudanças passo a ter pequenas vantagens nas batalhas que eu estou jogando na liga Bronze II no momento, e assim consigo fazer upgrade de arena e receber a premiação de avanço de liga. Quando isso acontece temos boas chances de conseguir bons cards pois depende apenas da sorte de abertura. Eu pretendo receber esse prêmio e mais um, chegando assim na liga PRATA III.
