Junk 2 Glamour Project in the Office, What's to Throw, becomes a Decoration
In an office where there are loads of scraps from printing, it becomes a perfect opportunity to create a happy festive vibe to a plain empty space.
We wished we had more of these discarde flowers where we could just wash them up and repurpose them; but I guess a test is always good. Besides, there was only one mesh hamper wrapper cloth available; without spending additional for a decoration, we built a tall vase from items meant to be thrown away into something that is pleasant for the lunar new year's festive season.
Because it is mesh cloth, I found out that even super glue didn't quite made the cut; and with the triangular style vase made by 3 individual plotter paper's core, we decided to stable the cloth unto the white paper after multiple layers around it to get that solid red cylinder vase looking vibrant and "real" at a glance.
The flowers that we acquired still required a lot of dipping into soap; but for a temporary measure we place it as a mok display at the moment.
Having a boss that prefers minimalist might find this red center a little shocking; but hey, it is a huge contrast and sure brought a different attention and vibe into the Lunar New Year's atmosphere.
Like what we managed to turn it out into?

So creative! 🥰
The flowers looked suitable with the makeshift tall vase. Recycling items for the best purpose. 👍
Yes, however we found out that the flowers are all very dusty so we have to soak it with bleach and wash all the web and stain
Nice! Very creative! I also like to set aside things that I think I can use in the future, especially those that I can incorporate into art or design.
@lolodens thanks so much! Yes it is always great to set aside, and try not to turn it into a hoarding junk area too by quickly re-designing.
