The Eurovision Song Contest 2025, marking its 69th edition, is set to take place in Basel, Switzerland.

Katarsis is a Lithuanian alternative rock band formed in 2020 in Vilnius. The group consists of vocalist and guitarist Lukas Radzevičius, lead guitarist Alanas Brasas, bassist Emilija Kandratavičiūtė, and drummer Jokūbas Andriulis. Their music blends alternative rock, post-punk, and art rock, characterized by dark, melancholic melodies and introspective lyrics.

In February 2025, Katarsis won Lithuania's national selection competition, Eurovizija.LT, earning the opportunity to represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, with their song "Tavo Akys."
