This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

While I 'only' made 1.5 units in week 6, I still borught out the creal blue sky breakout image as things actually started really bad in the European Matches where I lost around 1 unit putting me back as a small loss on the season. However, the weekend in the Belgian League was great despite the fact that I kept stakes rather low with a whopping 2.6 units profit. This now puts me at 7.25% ROI on the season after 6 weeks having taken 288 bets and with 2.6 units of profit in total. We are still early in the season and I'm still far away from the 10 units+ that I aim for. I'm now also much more comfortable with a bit of room to take more risk on the stakes.

Overall things are good, I enjoyed the first 6 weeks of the season even though there really is no free lunch anymore and it is extremely rare to have bets that win easily. Even bets that deserve to win and were good value often end up as just tight winners that also could have lost. It remains mainly a grind where you really have to avoid stepping on many of the landmines and I feel I'm quite achieving that quite well. The fact that I have a tight routine also is one of the key factors to be profitable over time.

That said, for all I know I could get in a losing streak which puts the morale down again. One thing is sure which is that I will continue to enjoy the entire process even during the bad times.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2025-2026

I had 2 main bets last week which ended with 1 winner and 1 loser overall dropping a bit as the winner only had 1.827 odds. After 6 weeks I now have a pace of just 1.5 bets a week and I'm not sure at all if I will manage to increase this. The thing remains that I will only put the ones I have good confidence in that they are good value with an eye on long term profit on them.

Season 2025-2026 Personal Betting Chart

The chart pretty much shows how things go with betting, in that you need to put in quite some bets and have to avoid heavy losses while good periods give you a nice long-term ROI. The challenge now will be to get the Pink Expected profit line at a steeper angle up by increasing my stakes a bit. That by far remains the biggest challenge and dificulty since it generally comes along with having a smaller edge. On one side on the lower limit bets taking more clicks will lower the average price and taking bigger stakes on the higher limit bets usually creates higher volume on bets with a lower edge.
