This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

I had more or less a break-even week and the main trend of this season continues in that the lines I see as weird and off enough to take a bigger bet on tend of losing without chance somehow with the market perfectly predicting off days of teams that otherwise are in ok form or poor teams who out of nowhere come with an excellent game. All this while the bets that I take with limited stake seeing the winner but with in the end very thin value on it tend to pull through. this gives a situation where the bigger bets lose and the smaller bets win putting me down on the season.

So the question from here is how to possibly fix this as I don't fully want to let go on the idea that I never am able to see good odds and take them bigger while I don't want to move to a style where I take bets where I see no value on just because I think they are winners. So lots to sort out and get right with an aim to actually become profitable again. The good thing however is that so far the losses have remained very limited and I by no means go chasing or anything. If I have a losing season so be it and maybe only in the end I might increase my risk slightly if there is a ultimate chance to get in the green again with a limited overall season loss risk.

I also feel that there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes down to focus as sometimes I'm busy with multiple things at once which made me miss out on taking some more on some of the winners.

Once again, I'm in no position to claim that I can pick more confident bigger bets so I'm staying away from them as it feels like I would only further the damage.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

In a way, there are plenty of matches to play with the playoffs, which I will likely just watch and handicap knowing myself. However, it looks like the first season in decades where the bookies managed to get the best of me. I also didn't have too much volume last week and with most matches played at the same time, it likely will also be limited in the last week of the regular season.
