No doubt that SPS will do ok in an altcoin season, the problem though is that a possible altcoin season is the only thing devs really put the hope into and rely on / use as an excuse.

The reality though is that the game simply isn't as fun as it could be and everything is overly complicated and aimed toward whales and existing players who need to continue to spend to pay the dev salaries. Nobody in Web2 gaming is complaining about the fact that there is no altcoin season and the games that are fun just do good regardless.
