Friday continued the pattern of doing well in the corner bets but not so much on the others but I'm quite pleased that I managed to get away unharmed as I could have easily been less cautious losing money. More chances on Saturday with 4 matches.
Standings Playoff 1
The mid-week shook things up a bit in Playoff 2 as the favorites (Charleroi & Mechelen) failed to win which puts the field wide open again while I at the same time don't get the sense many actually want to go for the win aside from Charleroi & Mechelen.
OH Leuven vs Standard
The mid week match ended ina 0-1 deserved win for OHL in a match where Standard started with good intentions but simply lacked the quality offensively which was also the case for OHL. The 2nd half was a but more open and the 0.09-0.18xg from the 1st half got bumped up to 0.76-1.54xg. Standard is no last and the look like a teal who do not care whatsoever about playoff 2 while OHL all of a sudden got in 2nd place. So far this season, OHL took only 1 loss at home but also had 17 draws! In their last home match against Dender they started quite poorly allowing Dender to get the initiative and only started playing better once they fell behind making it a 4-4 match which could have gone both ways and where both teams had sloppy uninterested defense. I do expect now that Leuven is in 2nd place for them to go for it but their coach tends to rotate so I kind of want to see the lineups first. I have a lean on OHL -0.25 and also the Over 3.5 if odds get to around 5.0 (now 4.2). OHL did win the 1h corners in their last match with a 6-1 score. I do expect OHL to take more initiative while Standard might play their game of crawling back and luring on the counter. I took 0.14 units on

OHL -0.5 Corners @ 1.926 already pre-game.
Westerlo vs kv Mechelen
These teams always make for matches with multiple goals which again was the case in the mid week which ended in a 2-3 win for Westerlo away. However, the total line also was adjusted a 3.5 which was too high for me to get in. The surprise away win now puts Westerlo in 3rd place and back in contention for the playoff 2 win but it remains a big question how motivated the players still are as I can see how some don't want extra matches. The fact that Mechelen got a red card also helped Westerlo. Mechelen now is 3 points behind on Charleroi and they might get to a point where they just mentally give up on Playoff 2. I expect again a match where both teams (especially later on) are willing to go for it and I don't see Mechelen crawling back which they also didn't do away against Charleroi. In that match they ended the 1st half with 0-5 in corners. It often happens that these matches start out quite slow but once the first goal comes the floodgates open. I took 0.2 units on
Kv Mechelen +0.5 corners @ 1.845 and will also be looking at potentially take an over on the corners early if odds go up quickly. Mechelen had 13 & 10 corners in their away matches while Westerlo at home had 7 & 16. Their previous encounters in te regular season ended with 12 and 27! I did already take an initial 0.1 unit bet on

Charleroi vs Dender
Charleroi took a first loss against Dender away which kind of came as a surprise. They played a good 1st half but a poor 2nd half while for Dender it was the other way around. The fact though that Charleroi got too comfortable after that 1st half shows that they are the team with more quality and I kind of expect a revenge spot today where Charleroi has all the initiative at the start. However, the -1 line and -1.25 1H corners line both very much play into this. Dender so far scored in all their playoff 2 matches but Charleroi managed to keep a clean sheet in their 2 home matches. I will keep an eye out on potentially better odds for Charleroi and the corners.
No Pre-Game Bets
Cercle Brugge vs Sint-Truiden
Cercle Brugge have gotten themselves in a tricky situation as their nerves had in influence on their form which now has them sitting 1 point behind Stvv who have a new coach and picked up newly found confidence. So nerves could be high today. I see Cercle Brugge as the team with still more quality who should end on top but it's just not the situation right now where I can trust them. Neither a blowout home win, a blowout away win or a boring 0-0 draw would be surprises for me so I'm just staying away from this one and wait to see more in-game.
