This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

It was another cautious but slight profitable week in the playoffs. I started out on Friday following the conclusion of the 2nd division which had some interesting setups but I failed to actually getting some profit out of those as I kept my stakes very low. I continued this into the playoff 2 and playoff 1 matches on Saturday and Sunday.

As much as I would want to get my stakes back up, the season so far just showed that is was a smart move to keep them low as it limited the overall damage. There are now 6 more weeks to go and I'm down just 2 units which is not the end of the world. I'll likely continue to grind things out with lower stakes and caution trying to avoid to chase things just to keep the streak of profitable seasons alive. If I get quite a bit closer I might do a final 0.5-1 unit bet to give me a chance to still end in the green but I for sure won't take it to anywhere extreme.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

So far the playoffs have gone well but in the end, I'm only up around 1.5 units so not much is needed for this to crash back down especially if I would try to increase my stake a bit more. I staked less than 3 units while optimally my aim for a long time is to be around 8-10. So I'm way under that but at the same time I don't mind given the results this season which have been a struggle. All of it though did not make things less enjoyable.

The season chart more or less looks sideways down but it's at least nice to see things in an uptrend again lately. Next season I will most likely adjust my expected pink profit line lower a bit as last 2 seasons have been the weakest from the last 8 which certainly is a strong indication that my edge is no longer what it used to be. At the same time it motivates me to focus more and get better.
